The Department for National Mobilisation, formerly the Department of Communication, is the department that establishes and coordinates federal policy on the mobilisation of communication services, media, and civil society in pursuit of the agenda of the Government. The Department also administers grants, government projects, and programs to help develop the New Alexandrian communications and media industry that is "humanist, patriotic, vibrant, and creative".
The Department works closely with the Department of Interior and the Department of Defense on matters of common policy, especially the promotion and development of civil works and government projects for the improvement of the defense and protection of the nation's communications and informations systems.
The Department administers NANII, the New Alexandrian National Information Infrastructure.
The department is headed by a Secretary of National Mobilisation, who is appointed by the King on the advice of the President of the Government. The Secretary is a member of the Council of State.
The department was established in 1689 AN as the Department of Communications. The successor department remained headquartered at East Meadow Tower Building, in the Government Triangle neighborhood of Cárdenas, FCD.
