List of centers of the National Health Institute of Nouvelle Alexandrie

The National Health Institute of Nouvelle Alexandrie (NHINA) is an agency of the Department of Social Security and National Solidarity and is the primary agency of the country responsible for biomedical and public health research. It has a total of 15 separate centers of expertise (COEs) that carry out its mission in all areas of biomedical research. This also includes the General Directorate, which holds the Director of the NHINA and which is responsible for the policies and activities of all 15 COEs.

General Directorate

The General Directorate is the central office of the NHINA. It is responsible for setting policy for the institute, and overseeing, administrating, and planning the programs and activities of all NHINA components. The Directorate has several Mission Offices, which aid in specific areas of research for all divisions.

Office of Biotechnology	OB	Oversees the research in genetics and biotechnology, in particular the ethical, legal, and social concerns; also oversees genetic technologies.
Office of Communications	OC	Oversees the Public Liaison officer and the press office; also responsible for the transparency policy of NHINA.
Office of Disease Prevention	ODP	Oversees the policy for research into disease prevention, epidemiology, and outbreak control.
Office of Equity and Diversity	OED	Oversees policies of equal employment opportunity; as well as health access policy and diversity health research.
Office of Finances	OF	Oversees the NHINA's financial management, including the budget and allocation of funds.
Office of Human Resources	OHR	Oversees the NHINA's human resource management; also oversees personnel and leadership policies.
Office of Planning, Program Coordination, and Strategy	OPPCS	Plans and implements the NHINA initiatives approved by the Directorate, and also coordinates research related to specific diseases and science, as well as research infrastructure.
Office of Legislative Policy	OLP	Provides the legal expertise and policy development for NHINA; also liaises directly with the Federal Assembly and Council of State.
Office of Research Infrastructure	ORI	In control of the research infrastructure of NHINA; also in charge of research resource policy.
Office of Technology	OT	Oversees the policies regarding technology transfer, intellectual property, and safe use of technology.
Mission Office for Behavioral and Social Sciences Research	MOBSSR	Oversees policy relating to research on human behavior and the development of health, prevention of diseases, and therapeutical care.
Mission Office for Dietary Needs	MODN	Oversees policy for research into nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and other eating disorders.
Mission Office for Indigenous and Tribal Health Research	MOITHR	Oversees specific policies pertaining to health services and research for tribal and indigenous people.
Mission Office for Sexual and Gender Minority Research	MOSGMR	Oversees specific policies for health research related to the LGBTQ+ community, including sex change care. Also advises educators on sexual education programs.
Mission Office for STDs	MOS	Oversees specific policies for research into sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS.
