The Monarchy of Amarra is the traditional monarchy of the former Kingdom of Amarra (Snm. Xonutilla Amarrali). Founded in 483, the kingdom survived Shirerithian and republican rule, and is now one focal point in traditional Amarran culture. The current monarch, King Yoren IX (Yoren Tolen Nur Kasha), ascended the throne in 1678. Since Sanama is a republic, the monarchy has no formal power, only informal influence. The capital of the kingdom is Kerhula.
