The Monarchy of Sanilla is the traditional monarchy of the former Kingdom of Sanilla (Snm. Xonutilla qulSanili, lit. Kingdom of the Sanis). Founded in 502, the kingdom survived Shirerithian and republican rule, and is now one focal point in traditional Sanillan culture. The current monarch, King Malliki XVII (Malliki Kasha Nur Pinito), ascended the throne in 1687. Since Sanama is a republic, the monarchy has no formal power, only informal influence. The capital of the kingdom is Fala.
