'''The Holy Order of the Temple of Cato''' is a militaristic and monastic order founded to preserve and protect the Catologian Faith. The Order was founded over 200 years ago instituted in both South and North Batavia. In the recently independent nation of South Batavia (later Jingdao), the Order gained prominence and controlled territory around the Citadel in the lands of ''Aragon''.

==History==

The Order was founded by Jack de Montfort, who ruled over a small territory in Aragon, including the Citadel. During the cultural revolution in Jingdao, in which all non-Jingdaoese cultural elements were purged, the Knights of the Order left for Calbion. Jack de Montfort became Prince of Calbion and remained Grand Master of the order. After the schism caused by the Calbain independence war, the Order has seized to be a prominent factor in Jingdaoese society, and had disappeared from Jingdaoese public life, with its posessions stripped away. Montfort later moved to the isle of Ynys Corrach, where the Order surfaced for a brief period but then withered away following the Storm of Swords.

Shortly after his arrival on the island, de Montfort died, bestowing the title of Grand Master on his cousin, Michail de Montfort. The Montfort family has kept the office since then.

A brief recent uprising occured in Jingdao, where Josephat de Montfort, a distant cousin of Jack de Montfort, claimed to have received a vision from the Goddess Germania in which she let him know that the way the Order had gone was not according to the will of the Gods. Josephat brought elements of the Order back to Jingdao, where it is currently usurped by the Jingdaoese government as a component of its bureaucratic structure.

The Order in Batavië remained largely contained to the East of the country, where Balian de Montfort, brother of Jack de Montfort, served as Magistrum Extra Terris until the death of Jack de Montfort, after which Balian was given the regalia and title of Grand Master. The Headquarters of the Order are in the [[Citadel of Warburg]].

==Structure==

The Order is divided into two classes: Audiutor and Knight. The Audiutor were the serving class, they were often taken from among the lower clergy. Audiutor may function in many different roles, such as teachers, priests or farmers.
