The Senyan space program is the national space exploration program of Senya and was re-established as an independent campaign on 1 Filædin 1683 (9 April 2020). Senya had previously participated in the MSEO in which they had estbalished facilities in Space City, Lamantia, including a vehicle assembly building (VAB), multiple research laboratories, a launch pad, a mission control centre, a training centre and several buildings to house workers.
MSEO and establishment of facilities in Space City (1611–1683)
Senya first became involved in space exploration by being a member of the Micrasian Space Exploration Organistation (MSEO) in 1611. During this time, Senya established Space City in Lamantia as a site which would be used by the MSEO to launch a manned mission to Tarsica, which was one of the founding aims of the MSEO. This also included the construction of an airfield to be used for the landing of a re-usable spacecraft upon landing, though when the program was eventually abandoned, this airfield was later re-configured a commercial civilian airport.
The MSEO was a joint project between a number of international partners, with a headquarters located in Shireroth, with Senya merely acting as one of several international partners and the location of the launch facility. However, as events transpired for no MSEO mission to be launched, Senya established the Senyan Space Agency to pursue its own goals in 1635.
Sanya (1683–)
The Sanya programme was established to be Senya's first foray into space. The aim of the programme was to test Senyan capablities in getting a spacecraft into space, as well as returning the ship back to the earth and establish an orbit. The first three rockets in this programme will be conducted without a manned crew, whilst the fourth launch will see the introduction of a human pilot. Senya's goal with the programme is to establish experience in launches and to prepare for the eventual construction and habitation of a Senyan Space Station.
International co-operation
From the outset of its Sanya programme in 1683, Senya invited all friendly nations to participate in the Senyan Space Programme Working Group (SSP-WG). With approval from the Senyan government and by invite only, foreign nations will be permitted access to use Senya's launch facilities to put non-military satellites into space, to use and propose research on the spaceflights, and to select astronauts to launch on Senyan missions. In the future, Senya hopes to allow the SSP-WG agencies to have a permanent presence on a space station. Initially, three partner agencies, Elwynn's Institute for Space Research at the People's Academy of Elwynn, Krasnocoria's Kosmos Agency and Mercury's Space Commission were selected to be the founding members of the SSP-WG, with Krasnocoria's experience with sending cosmonauts to Orbital Command as part of the Common Cosmos Colonization Coalition seen as particuarly valuable.

List of missions
This list excludes resupply missions and manned person-transfers to the Senyan Space Station.
Mission | Date | Launch site | Rocket | Spacecraft | Astronauts (# spaceflight) | Mission aim |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sanya-1 | 13 VIII 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-01 | Sanya | unmanned | Establish a successful unmanned launch to test the rockets and spacecraft without human risk. The craft will encircle Micras once before returning for splashdown in Lake Lamantia. First Senyan launch and first Senyan spaceship in space. |
Sanya-2 | 2 IX 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-02 | Sanya | unmanned | Establish a successful unmanned launch to test the rockets and spacecraft without human risk. The craft will encircle Micras for three days before returning for splashdown in Lake Lamantia. |
Sanya-3 | 16 IX 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-03 | Sanya | unmanned | Establish a successful unmanned launch to test the rockets and spacecraft without human risk. The craft will encircle Micras for three days before returning for splashdown in Lake Lamantia. This will be the final planned remote check of the craft before human launches. |
Sanya-4 | 5 X 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-04 | Sanya | Jon Zagarƨka (1st) | First manned launch of the Sanya rocket. Orbit the earth for two days to explore the suitability of Senyan spacesuit and the orbiter for human travel. First Senyan in space. |
Sanya-5 | 19 X 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-05 | Sanya | Liam Sprowston (1st) Æva Znezgerensk (1st) |
A second launch into space, this time for seven days. Æva and Liam will undergo EVA's in an attempt to explore the use of spacesuit technology ahead of construction of a Senyan Space Station. First Senyan woman in space, first EVA undertaken by Senyan astronauts. |
Enigma-1 | 19 XI 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-06 | Enigma | Martin Clover (1st) James Duckley (1st) Ana Sinkler (1st) Jesika Ƨesgovek (1st) Aleks Vɏensk (1st) Krasnoslav Jerinić (1st) |
Embark on the construction of the Senyan Space Station. A new ship, Enigma, will be used. Larger than the Sanya ships, Enigma has a large cargo bay that can be used to transport large sections to space. The first module to be brought up will be a docking module, along with a robotic arm that will be used to help assemble the station and some solar panels. The enigma crew will sleep inside their spacecraft, and will splashdown 14 days later. Although the ship can accomodate up to 8 passengers, only 6 will fly due to the size of the payload. First Kranocorian to fly on a Senyan ship. |
Enigma-2 | 19 XII 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-07 | Enigma | Mark Cresswell (1st) Liam Sprowston (2nd) Jon Zagarƨka (2nd) Æva Znezgerensk (2nd) |
Further construction of the Space Station, successfully installed three modules, including a storage module, a sleep station/crew quarters module and a laboratory for experiments. |
Enigma-3 | 19 XIII 1683 | SCLP-01 | SMOR-08 | Enigma | Martin Clover (2nd) Amy Jenkins (1st) Ana Sinkler (2nd) Aleks Zvezger (1st) |
Further construction of the Space Station. They installed two further laboratories, an additional storage space complete with two additional docking ports. |
