The Birgeshir Women's Volleyball Super League (Birgesh: Birgeşir Voleybol Süperlig) is the highest virtual women's Volleyball league in Birgeshir and the only one league for this sport since there isn't any men's division. It is the most popular women's sport in Birgeshir, along with rugby union.

Format

The league consists of 6 teams. Each team faces the other teams twice for a total of 10 games. At the end of the regular season,the top four teams play Championship's playoffs. The Semifinals are a best-of-three elimination tournament where the 1st placed plays against the 4th placed and the 2nd placed plays against the 3rd placed. Following the Semifinals there is a Final played one time. The winner is crowned Champion (Gold) while the losing team is 2nd placed (silver). The 3rd placed (bronze) is one of the two losing teams of the Semifinals that was best ranked in the regular season. The season begins in September and ends in November with games played on Sundays. There is no relegation or promotion system in the league.

Star Badge

Clubs are permitted to place a golden star badge above their crest on their uniforms for every five national championships won.

Flag Patch

The Championship title is represented by a waving birgesh flag patch and the winning team will bear it on the uniform in the following season. This is similar to the italian "scudetto".
