FLO Hockey is recognised by the Micras Hockey League and Association of Sports Leagues as the governing body for all levels of ice hockey from professional to grassroots. Founded in 2019, after the demise of the Florian Hockey League. The association organises the National University Hockey League and Apollonian Hockey League, the two major leagues outside the Intercontinental Hockey League. In case of a ICHL lockout or player disputes between the FLO Hockey and the ICHL, national team players are selected from the two FRHA organised leagues.
Also, the Association organises the Florian Republic National Team Development Program, a select group of talented academy players who play an exhibition season with teams from both the National University Hockey League and Apollonian Hockey League to boost their development.
