The '''Treaty between the [[Elwynnese Union]] and the [[Senya|Democratic Environmental Society of Senya]]''' was signed and ratified in 1598 AN (2013). It was in full effect only for two years before the Shirerithian take-over of Elwynn. Despite this, Elwynn and Senya remained friends, with preferential visas for Elwynnese residents of Shireroth visiting Senya. Upon Elwynn's restoration of independence in 1672, Elwynn declared the treaty to remain valid. In 1681, Elwynn and Senya began talks to modernise the treaty for the conditions of the present century.

== Text of the Treaty ==

===Preamble:===
[[Barnaby Hands|His Excellency the President of Senya]] and [[1598 Elwynnese princely elections|His Serene Highness the Prince of Elwynn]], having met at [[Eliria]] to discuss the wellbeing of their Peoples and, finding that good relations between the governments of Senya and Elwynn to be the utmost interest of their Peoples, they have negotiated a Treaty, the text of which was agreed as follows:

===Article 1: Relations===
(i) The Democratic Environmental Society of Senya (hereinafter Senya) and the Elwynnese Union (hereinafter Elwynn), affirming the spirit of friendship and cooperation on which relations between the two are based, agree to place their relations on a closer and more solid foundation.

(ii) In so doing, they shall hold close communications on all matters of mutual concern. Should either of them hear or know of any threat against the other, the threat shall be communicated with highest priority. Embassies with one and another may be established by mutual executive agreement.

===Article 2: Sovereignty===
(i) Senya and Elwynn recognize the sovereignty, territorial integrity and the law of each other. They agree that the defined territory and jurisdiction of each other consist of the territory as marked on the map of the [[Micronational Cartography Society]], electronic holdings, as well as properties held as sovereign of the other under international law and convention.

(ii) The President of Senya shall hold sovereign immunity while in Elwynn and any of his representatives in Elwynn shall be given full diplomatic immunity, all according to international law and custom.

(iii) The Prince of Elwynn shall hold sovereign immunity while in Senya, and any of his or her representatives in Senya shall be given full diplomatic immunity, again according to international law and custom.

===Article 3: Cooperation===
(i) Senya and Elwynn shall co-operate in various endeavours, including, but not limited to, those pertaining to facilitating trade, communications and cultural collaborations.

(ii) Senya and Elwynn shall establish cross-border routes of trade and physical communications between them by mutual executive agreement. Priority shall be given to establishing a mainline railway between Tirlar City and Svorgas, and permitting any form of personal identification accepted anywhere in either nation to also be valid for use at shared border crossings.

(iii) Senya and Elwynn shall, by mutual executive agreement, establish reduced reciprocal tax regimes for businesses based in either nation trading in the other nation.

(iv) Senya and Elwynn shall, by mutual executive agreement, examine the possibility of establishing a soccer league with associated sponsorship deals with relevant suppliers in either nation.

===Article 4: Final provisions===
(i) Senya and Elwynn agree that any disputes between them, whether arisen from the Treaty or from other ways, shall be solved diplomatically and amicably. Failing that, they agree to arbitration by a mutually appointed arbitrator.

(ii) This Treaty is valid indefinitely, as agreed by the President of Senya and the Prince of Elwynn, and shall be ratified by Senya and Elwynn in the manner established by their respective constitutions.

(iii) This Treaty enters force on the first day after the exchange of the instruments of ratification which shall take place in Eliria.

(iv) Elwynn or Senya may at any time move, in the same manner as it ratified the concordat, to leave the Treaty. Such action shall be notified to the other nation and become valid thirty days after notification.

===Ratification===
In witness whereof, His Excellency the President of Senya and His Serene Highness the Prince of Elwynn have signed and affixed their seals to this Treaty.
