The '''Most Honourable Order of the Eagle''' was established by HRM King [[Charles III]] in 1801.  The order recognizes "Citizens and foreigners for services to the [[August Charles II|Sovereign of Gotzborg]], and as a token of his personal goodwill". The Eagle is the entry level Order of Knighthood in the Kingdom and is awarded to the greatest variety of persons, both foreign and national and represents both military and civilian contributions to the Kingdom.

The ribbon of the order is blue with a narrow white centre stripe, except for the ribbon of "Collar", which is blue with 2 white stripes on the edges.

The Order of the Eagle comes in six classes as follows:
