Narmanis, or incorrectly called Tatars, is a term referring to Muslim Normans living in southern Normandie. The Narmanis have nine village communities in the Arpad mountain range in Lower Ortonia. They also live in larger cities such as Quimper, Béthencourt, and Solnoc, and have several mosques and associations. Their population in Normandy is approximately 10,000. The Narmanis should not be confused with the Khalans, another Muslim community. The Narmanis are a Sufi muslims.

The origin of the name Narmani is a direct Islamization of the Norman name. The Narmanians were mistakenly called Tatars by surrounding communities.

History
Islam arrived in Normandy during the Storish period, thanks to the Sufi order of High Queen Asa, Harald's second wife and also a Gotzborger heir. However, sympathy for Asa is unclear due to the religious prohibition against a Muslim woman marrying a non-Muslim man. Most historians believe that the spread of Islam in Stormark was halted after Asa's death. The Sufi order was located at the Khaniqah of Shah Nimetullah, the fate of which after Asa's death is unknown. Over time, Muslims in Micras adopted an anti-Vanic stance regarding Stormark's growing heresy. Almost all Narmanis had very limited contact with the outside world due to the region's geography and religion, and held a rather hostile attitude towards the outside world.

With the fall of Stormark, the Narmani villages and the local Sufi order in the region became virtually independent, and the Hexarchian invasion of Northwest Keltia in 1704 did not affect the area. For sixty years, the local population had no contact with the outside world. The villages were accidentally rediscovered in 1744 with the beginning of the Purification of Normandie. The community, initially unwilling to be disturbed, clashed with the NRA, but later joined the Normandokarum Fyrd as village guards due to the threat of the EANN in the coming months.

After the war, irregular Norman troops, remnants of the wartime period, frequently harassed Narman villages and trespassed on their lands due to religious reasons. Following the last raid in June 1747, the Narmanis killed 30-50 troop members in a skirmish. No further raids occurred. With the post-war restructuring of Normandie, the Narman were recognized as a minority population within Normandie.
