(Hey Ed,stay out of my stuff. It's currently on Hiatus so I can focus on the wiki - Legiondude)

For current info on the nation, see here

The forum somehow died FYI

The United Republic of Atlantium is one of the many micronations that are new and just barely growing. It has recently joined MCS' forums and plans to make a claim hopefully in the near future. It may also be referred to as URA or U.R.A.

History
May 15th,2007 - The United Kingdom of Atlantea is established

May 16,2007 - After testing out a Google search for the site,Legiondude revises the name to the United Republic of Atlantium to avoid confusion with a newspaper

May 19,2007 - Declaration of Independence is finished

May 20,2007 - Legiondude discovers the Empire of Atlantium is still active and wants to change the name once again, but with the constituion half done and the Declaration done and many more things bearing the name,Legiondude merely puts in a proclomation to avoid confusion

September 3,2007 - Atlantium begins in the construction of a religious theology and plans on modifying their government ideology(Now named Neo Republicanism) to be more unique

September 16,2007 - Legiondude renames Atlantium's Theology to Solvoism(Meaning "free" in Latin) and begins to make three forms of the theology after reading through the topic on Solarism and noting it's forms. Then brining in some elements from Martial Arts and Philosophy to make three original forms of the religion, named after an element to represent how the martial works of that form go.Legiondude also applies for a wiki at ElWiki to display Solvoism in full

September 22,2007 - Legiondude finally finishes and refines the constitution of Atlantium to serve it to Micronational standards. He plans for revising the Declaration of Independence too

~June 2008 - Legiondude creates a new wiki for Atlantium and is currently in progress

October 5,2008 - Legiondude creates a new website after seeing Toteki's Micronational Internation Trade Organization website.

*Religious beleifs and general beleifs are delicate subjects to one who doesn't know another persons stand on them.Up until Solvoism was created,Religious discussion was banned from the Tower of Thought

Government
If you know the governmental setup of the United States government, you basically know about Atlantean government.Yet there are some twists to it.

*a hierarchy of sorts assures that power can never lead to disasterous results with a President unfit for office moves in.As their status is below a Moderator, but above all others. For more, see the Hierarchy in the Atlantium National Archives
*Instead of leaving checks and balances on each other, the Administrators and the Moderators do so.

Why the Change in the System?
A certain president of the United States has proven to us that the current legislation is flawed.Atlantium wants to make sure such a happening never comes to the nation. That is why Administrators and Moderators are sent to make sure the integrity of the nation remains justified, but free. Therefore the abuse of power virtually never should come to any one person.

Administrators though might be thought of as that chance for that abuse.Yet it is not so.To reach moderator status you must prove to be an exceptionally hard working person and loyal to the nation. To reach Admin status, you must work even harder for that right.

Admins and Mods even lack political power(Unless the President is absent, then the current head admin takes temporary power;Head admins gain such position for being the most responsible) so any chance of having so much control of the government seems to be very rare

Regional Division
Although Atlantium contains no current claims at the moment,we have planned for states with five distinct cities that are made from the start. The following will list planned regions names in bold and the cities within those regions.

Interlandian history

2008-06-25T20:52:12Z

Legiondude:

Interlandian Archeology, even though the research is made for only 3 months, has discovered lots of signs of previous centuries and millenniums. Interland was on the map from early 3rd versions, although that times are not really understood by us. We know that that times in Interland there were two tribes, one, now it would be classified as pan-interlandian (Slavic-on-Micras), and the second which fathers had probably been nomad warriors from Central Keltia. The king, and most of the citizens which had many privileges were from the second group, called the Anglointerlandians, as they were talking in language similar to English.

200 years later the Anglointerlandians signed a treaty with Attera which made Interland join the Federation of Attera. This caused the Slavinterlandians were veeery disappointed, because now they weren't only the lesser, but the least.

When the Atteran federation burst into small provinces, the Interlandian lands were ceded to Madland, and "the Slavs" were made "the slaves". This couldn't stay long. After the victorious insurrection "Real Interlandians" as the Slavs were calling themselves made sovereign country on one of the Islands, but weren't recognised by anyone. Then, Meelsaar, called 'The Mad' fought with Slavislav, Prince of Nikians. The island came into chaos.

It was conquered by Charlotta, new republic, formed on the continent. It was for 5 years under control of Attera again, too.

The Interlandians were under control of Charlotta for 250 years, when the last member of Nikian Dinasty made a new insurrection, called the Last, because the army of Charlotta was 5 times larger than Nikian forces. But, out of the blue, the Interlandians won! The bad news were that they don't want to integrate and made hundreds of small principalities around islands and the continent...

Aoife the Celt

Legiondude:

Aoife, also known as Aoife the Celt, is the current Queen of Hurmu and Ard-Ri of the Stormarkian autonomous country of Dún Gail Dara. She was elected Queen of Hurmu unanimously by the Senate of Hurmu on 4 February 2007.

In Dún Gail Dara she holds all executive power herself, whereas in Hurmu her role is ceremonial. This has, however, not hindered her from being active in the senatorial discussions. She was, for example, against the idea that Hurmu should join the Grand Commonwealth as a member state.

Cairney, born Scott Cairney on the 22nd April 1992. His life in micronationalisim was very unconventional, by that i mean it wasn't because he hadn't watched Danny Wallace's "How to start your own country". He got into the game through his three friend's and future micronational colleagues.

The Start
It all started with a technology lesson with Gouranga , Swamp Candle and Peanut Warrior. The three started a coversation about micronation's and Scott was confused so he enquired, in hinesight that was a stupid idea.

New-Empire

2008-06-25T20:31:51Z

Legiondude:

History
New-empire was founded on the 15th of August after Emperor Josh Coales (Dr-spangle) saw the BBC television series "How to start your own country" where Danny Wallace created the micronation of Lovely.

Emperor Josh Coales then created a small micronation which never got off the ground, or paper... so he told Emperor Ollie (EvilB) about Micronationalism and the Empire of New-Empire was founded, soon New-Empire claimed large amount of land in space and a Website was set up, then a Poll to Decide a name was started, names available to vote for were:
*Sola embassy
*Jovia
*U.G. (united galexys)
*T.G.S.P.M.E (the galexy star planet moon empire)

Shirekeep is the capital and chief city of Shireroth, with a history going back over 2500 years.

Although its origins are shrouded in legend, most people believe Shirekeep was founded by Kaiser Raynor I after his conquest of Brookshire. Raynor built the part of the city known as "Raynor's Keep" as a fortress guarding the Elwynn River and as a palace for himself and his successors; commoners and artisans settled to the east of the keep, on the Elwynn's west bank.More...

EMUFA

2008-06-25T20:24:23Z

Legiondude:

The EMUFA is the footballing sector for the East of the planet Micras.
As a division of the FMF, member nations play qualifiers against each other for the right to play in the FMF World Cup.

The EMUFA holds its own international tournament, for member nations and their dependencies, each year. These are called the EMU Championships and are usual named by the year they are taking place in, for example the 2007 tournament is called EMU07.

Member Nations
*Interland
*Irídia

*Taesong

Additional Member Nations
*Kampong
*New Brittania
*New Nsawam
*New South Vietnam
*Nova English Korea
*Sharovia
These additional members are all, except New Brittania, New South Vietnam, and New Nsawam, dependencies of EMUFA nations. These nations only compete in the EMU Championships.

New South Vietnam is a dependency of New Brittania, who, in turn, are part of the WMFA sector of the FMF. New Brittania are legible, along with New South Vietnam to participate in EMU Championships as they are relatively close to the other EMUFA nations.
New Nsawam is a kingdom in Oscland. It is situated on Keltia, and are legible for EMUFA additional membership through this. New Nsawam entered the EMUFA qualifying for the 2007 FMF World Cup, but are not allowed to do so from now on as Oscland are part of the AEFA sector.

Standings
EMUFA nations, as with the FMF, are put into "standings". These are ratings on how good the national teams are, worked out from tournament and match history.

In 2007, the qualifiers concluded in Riponia going to the playoff qualifiers however still managing to qualify for this years world cup.

The league has a remarkable amount of decent foreign players, some of which have adapted to the quick and physical style of Riponian football. Examples of these players are Sebastien Focán, Jon Anders Larsen, Steve Stevenson and Yorihato Takegi.

The league has also produced some of Riponia's finest players, some of which are now included in the Riponian national team. These are players such as Benjamin Cotts, Theodore Sinclair, Lewis Prescott and Chris Farnham.

In 2008 there is an introduction of the Stavely, Port Rackham and Ripon rivlaries. The Stavely rivalry is between two teams from the northern part of the Stavely in the nothern region of Riponia between Gunners Athletic and Northriding Hotspurs. The Port Rackham derby is between Port Rackham Rangers located west to the centre of the city with Tramerton FC being located on the outskirts of Port Rackham.
