History
Hau'oli 'Ena (in Hawaiian, Red Hot Celebration) was founded by John Sager (founder of the Automatic Republic) in July 2000. John didn't like Jasonia and wanted a competitor to it. Hau'oli 'Ena attracted a lot of the anti-Jasonian contingent, and John Sager invited the People's Republic of Hell to annex Hau'oli 'Ena at one point, despite the fact that it was still officially a Jasonian province. The following complex war (which was essentially due to multiple seccessions from Jasonia and disgruntled former citizens of Audentior who had seen their nation's last provinces annexed by Jasonia at the time) was known as the Infernal War, and it was amidst this that Hau'oli 'Ena rose to prominence.

Hell then invaded Hau'oli 'Ena. Jasonia declared lukewarm war, which is somewhere between cold war and hot war. They then retook Norfolk. The PRH got retaliated. Jasonia declared full war. Thomas Hubert declared himself an ally of Hell, and was spammed in return. It was then announced that the Hell-Hau'oli 'Ena situation had been part of a convoluted plot to unify the Sector by force. Others pointed out that a much easier way to unify the Sector would be for Hell to merge with Jasonia, thus making the FIoJ the only nation, as it had been before the war.
Meanwhile, back in the Apollo Sector proper, the FIoJ was still dominant. However, Sager was back, and the Infernal War had convinced him to secede his old nation of Hau'oli 'Ena from Jasonia.

After its declaration of independence, Hau'oli 'Ena began to grow. A new Istvanistani citizen named Caesar Augustus joined, as did Wombat, Dstryker, the old Automaticans like Foley and Czerka, and many others. Due perhaps to the bad will coming from the CHE (Confederation of Hau'oli 'Ena) secession, there was a lot of tension between Sager and the Jasonians. CHE and FIoJ started trying to one-up each other, something that was to cause major problems in the Apollo Pact and even worse problems later on in the UAS. Back in Hau'oli 'Ena, the focus had quickly shifted from politics to economics. The CHE Economic Boom was probably the most intense economic activity the Sector has ever known, and will probably continue to be for a long time. The CHE currency, the Kala (¤) quickly become very highly valued. Hau'oli 'Ena's refusal to rejoin the Apollo Pact only weakened the intermicronational alliances at the time even more.

When the former Apollo nations decided to merge into the Union of Apollo States, they declared, to minimize pre-existing divisions, that no state in the UAS could be the same as one of the old countries. In order to circumvent this many renamed their old countries to turn them into states. Hau'oli 'Ena therefore became Gong Li. Because it was the economic powerhouse of Union of Apollo States, Gong Li wanted the UAS to adopt its currency, the kala. The Jasonians, angered at this, nearly tore the country apart. Sager got involved in terrorist attacks against Jasonia and lost his credibility as the leader of Hau'oli 'Ena, which was annexed to Shireroth (into the Duchy of Kildare) after the Union of Apollo States Fell.

In November 2014 the territory of Hau'oli Ena regained independence from Kildare and Shireroth as the Gong Federation. None of the original contributors to Hau'oli Ena were involved.
