==History==

New-empire was founded on the 15th of August after Emperor [[Dr-spangle]] saw the BBC television series "How to start your own country" where [[Danny Wallace]] created the micronation of [[Lovely]].

Emperor Spangle then created a small micronation which never got off the ground, or paper... so he told Emperor Ollie (EvilB) about [[Micronationalism]] and the Empire of New-Empire was founded, soon New-Empire claimed large amount of land in space and a Website was set up, then a Poll to Decide a name was started, names available to vote for were:<br>
*Sola embassy<br>
*Jovia<br>
*U.G. (united galexys)<br>
*T.G.S.P.M.E (the galexy star planet moon empire)<br>
*Mini solar system<br>
*Space land<br>
*Cruithne and beyond<br>
*Moons 'r' us!<br>
*Planet or two<br>
*Galactic alliance<br>
*New-empire<br>
*Newempiria<br>
*Novannia<br>
*Jovian Empire<br>
*West Benacia<br>
*Stariana<br>

==Government==
The government is [[Anarchistic Facism]] and hence has very few laws, none in fact, and will not have a parliament untill enough people are found to run it.<br>
The Emperors of New-empire are Emperor Ollie and Emperor Spangle.

New-empire also lays claim to these but accepts they may not exist :p
*the star Nemesis
*Vulcan (a planet closer to the sun than mercury)
*mercury's currently unnamed moon
'''''The Kingdom of Jamzinia''''', a predominantly English populated nation was founded on ''12/08/05''. The founder and reigning monarch is King James Williams I or (Jamzinian given name - James Reginald DeWaldely). Jamzinia is classed as a [[Lovely sector]] nation due to the period in which it was founded, it does not however follow any principles or the genre of Lovely. Jamzinia is a member of both the GSO and the MCS; listed under different names in each. The MCS categorises Jamzinia under the Confederacy of Independant states whilst on the GSO Jamzinia is joined with close ally [[Gosling]] under the name Jamzinia & Gosling.

==History of Jamzinia==

===The Beginning===
On 12 August 2005 the micronation of Jamzinia was formed. Founder, James Williams, persued the idea like many after being introduced to micronationalism by famous comedian and King Of Lovely, Danny Wallace on the hit UK TV programme, "How to start your own country".

The nation began late in the evening of 12 August 2005 as a result of James' fustrations of certain aspects of Lovely. By 22:00 Jamzinia had a joinee population of 5 citizens, a Queen, a name, and a basic website. At this point Jamzinia was a very small project for James. As the days passed, leading through to September 2005, Jamzinia's basic joinee population grew, as did the number of ideas and new systems being put in place.

By October 2005, Jamzinia had 40 joinee citizens. It was at this point that King James began to see into the real world of micronationalism - a stage in Jamzinia's life where it was no longer a joke of a nation, but a stage where it was begginning to take issues seriously. New message boards were put in place, and citizens were urged to register. King James I soon realised that Jamzinia was not the relatively large micronation he first thought. He soon noticed that it was the number of active citizens that took priority over the overall population.

===December 2005===

It was in the month of December 2005, that Jamzinia reached the 50 mark in it's joinees. Although at this stage King James I realised that this was no longer important - he did see it as a milestone for Jamzinia. It was also in the month of December 2005 that Jamzinia's first government was formed. - A coalition Government - With Keith Colley as Prime Minister, Andrew Colley, as his assistant, and Jamie Barnes as Prime Government official. These people turned out to be some of the greatest citizens joined, in Jamzinia's history.

===January - March 06===

In the months following the new year, Jamzinia's government became a proper - working government. Including regular meetings, and a monthly agenda to follow. During this time, Manslayronia, a vicious country took it upon themselves to attack Jamzinia by spamming the boards, as a result - many citizens left. During this time, Manslayronia was defeated, and the spammer's IPs noted and banned. A board clean up took place.

===Depression of May===

May saw Jamzinia drift between levels that were previously unheard of, the forums - dead, much of the reasons to do with the previous spamming by Manslayronia. Jamzinia had been left to rot by many citizens. King James I was feeling depressed for his nation, and turned to yet another new government.

===Klemmen Haus (23 May 2006 - 16 October 2006)===
This time, the government was to be a democratic, and well organised government - Klemmen Haus (Jamzinian Congress). Klemmen Haus saw preparations for Jamzinia's first ever elections to be held in July 2006. The message boards went under a huge transformation in June 2006 - that saw many new joinees. Upping the active population to 6.

===The July Elections of 2006===

The first ever General elections in Jamzinia's history were held 15 July (15:00) - 22 July 06 (22:00). All citizens registered as holding Jamzinian citizenship were entitled to vote. The votes were counted and verified on 23 July 06 and the winning party and number of seats each had gained was announced at 12:00 on 24 July 06. The Elections were held in the First Past the Post format (FPP.

====The Partys====

Five partys entered the general elections of July 2006 - Including :

-The Jamzinian Trotskyist Party
-The Jamzinian Conservative Party
-[[The Pimpalicious Pink Party]]
-The Jamzinian Alliance Party
-The [[Anarchistic Fascism]] Party

====The Outcome====
The Jamzinian Trotskyist Party - 7 votes. <br>
[[The Pimpalicious Pink Party]] - 5 votes. <br>
The Jamzinian Conservative Party - 3 votes. <br>
The [[Anarchistic Fascism]] Party - 2 Votes.<br>

====The Aftermath====

In the weeks following the outcome, trouble began arrising. Various complaints were being made about the JTSP and their style of governing. In particular, the high number of pointless posts being made to make them look active. Eventually, John Merrick, the JTSP party leader, left the country. As did Steven Mullock having been found guilty of slander towards dr-spangle. Who as a result had to pay compensation of JD$500 to the victim.

Seeing as the only party members of the JTSP, had now left, the role of Prime Minister was contraversally passed onto Vilhelm Benkern (PPP Leader).

===Conspiracy===

Following the departure of the JTSP in such an unorthodox manner; the first successful conviction of slander, a conspiracy theory has been in circulation that suggests King James I deliberately enhanced the impact of the remarks against dr-spangle in an attempt to legally rid Jamzinia of the JTSP and their rotten form of rule.

===The Abdication Of King James I===

On the 14th October 2006, King James abdicated his throne. Delivering the following speech -

''"405 Days have now passed since I established Jamzinia, a lot has been done. We have seen good times, and bad times. Good people and bad people. But all has contributed to what we are today, Jamzinia, a nation that has a place for everyone.

''Reluctancy has beaten me on many occassions when considering handing over my monarchy in the past. However experience and a sence of what is morrally right for everyone involved, soon persuaded me that the time for my moving on is right. After such a long time and such a lot of effort, reluctancy is only natural. A few outstanding ambitions still remain unfurfilled, and that is my sole regret. I know that the new King who I am soon to appoint will be the right person for the job. I have trust in the person and know that he will do what he can to continue Jamzinia, and improve it.''

''Not so long ago I found that a couple of people associated with Jamzinia aren't the people they seem. That couple of people have been mis-loyal to me in the past. They seem to believe they knew more than me and that it'd be easy to get around me. I doubt these people would know that I know who they really are, but word gets around, and usually I hear what people have to say about me and their place in Jamzinia. I usually build up a good picture of what people are really like.''

''I am for the people of the world that are genuine. People who have a heart, and seek to make others happy rather than seek to make themselves a success. I believe my choice as King folllows on from my beliefs, and that this person will endevour to seek to provide happiness to the people of Jamzinia.''
''
Although I'm distraught in some ways at having to abdicate, I am pleased I am lucky enough to have been King of Jamzinia for such a lengthy spell. I'd like to thank all the citizens of Jamzinia for their continued support, and their personalities that have contributed to the image I have of Jamzinia. I'd also like to thank all the allies and assosiates that have helped pull Jamzinia along to continue it's life in Micronationalism. Being King of such a great little creation has allowed me to grow to love Jamzinia, and it is with that love that it hurts to no longer have a say in the direction of it. I am sure, however, that the new King, will provide for the citizens and take Jamzinia to the next level in micronationalism.''
''
Thank you to everyone, and Good luck to you all''."''

On the 16th October 2006, Keith Colley was announced as King James I's successor. James then assumed the role of Prime Minister on a temporary basis to help form the 4th Klemmen Haus. A role which was only furfilled until 23rd October 2006, at which point, James announced that he was to leave Jamzinia to form Calundy.

===The Coup - 18 November 2006===
On 18th November 2006 a Coup was staged by former King and founder James Williams. The Coup was a success, reverting back to the original forums King James I was restored. Delivering the following speech;

''"I'm at the end of my teather. 26 days. In which we have seen 1 post from the King. One. Some may say that it is not of my concern as I am no longer King. I'd agree if King Keith hadn't personally persuaded me into not leaving Jamzinia not so long ago; by claiming if I did I would be giving up. Well I've taken this advice a step further. I'm not giving up on Jamzinia. I appreciate there are times when activity is low, but the last thing a nation needs during this, is an inactive King. Jamzinia constantly drifted between activity - high and low whilst I was in charge. But I never gave up trying to get people posting. I founded no less that four different governments.

''I appreciate Kieth and his work in Jamzinia a great deal but I have realised I have become disilusioned in what my priorities are. I'm a person who rarely speaks out against other people whom I like. I don't like upsetting people but this time I'm affraid my priorities have had a re-shuffle. As Keith, himself, once said to me, "Don't give up on Jamzinia", that being a statement that I have come to realise is indeed of great sence.

''If the good of Jamzinia and it's status in the Micronational world is all I look for in my actions, that are to come about. I am staging a coup to take back the Crown. Involvement - both externally and internally has been poor. I will change that. Over my period of absence I have realised that 'Success is falling down 9 times and getting up 10'. Jamzinia will be a long term project for me.''

''After a very shaky start, Calundy has seen good levels of activity recently. I believe I can do the same for Jamzinia.''

''I will however not be ruthless in that the 'forum' and 'new ideas on it' are taken. I am reverting back to the old forum with 'Jamzinia'. Keith may continue running this new country he has here, and may rename it. All I know is that it is not Jamzinia.''

''Appologies to those who this will upset. You have been of great help in the past, and no doubt a betrayal will be felt.''

''I've lost my most loyal citizen, but have taken my country back''.''

King James I of Jamzinia

Restored. "''

===The 1st official death of the Phoenix - 2 December 2006===

On 28th November 2006, 10 days after the successful coup, King James I declared that he was to leave micronationalism. On 2nd December 2006 the final farewells were said in a service conducted by Tom Carroll. The conclusion of the service also concluded Jamzinia.

===The Resurection - 9 January 2007===

Upon King James I's return to micronationalism Calundy was handed to the Grand Commonwealth after the completion of a treaty signed by King James I of Calundy (at the time) and Behmanesh Farzan. King James I then turned his attention to Jamzinia; he rejoined and set about creating the Jorvik period; what was to be the fifth government of Jamzinia. The government, still in use in the present, consists of a House of the Interior and a House of the Exterior. The Interior houses heads of departments who have been awarded the "Citizen's seal of approval".

==Foreign Affairs==

===Gosling&Jamzinia===

Jamzinia is stronly allied to The Kingdom of [[Gosling]] . The two allies signed a formal pact on 28th August 2006 to unite them in external affairs under the name, "Jamzinia & Gosling". The "Gosling & Jamzinia Pact" states;

===The “Gosling & Jamzinia” Pact.===

'''''Article 1 - The terms'''''

''A) This pact shall exist between the nations of, “Jamzinia” and “Gosling”.
B) The Pact shall result in the two, independent nations, now being known as “The Kingdom of Jamzinia” and “The Kingdom of Gosling”, and “Gosling & Jamzinia”, collectively.
C)Both nations will keep all internal affairs to their own, but shall co-operate to decide upon foreign affairs, and relations regarding “Gosling & Jamzinia”.
D)Should one of the nations go to war, the other will follow suit in it’s defence of “Gosling & Jamzinia”
E)The pact may be broken at any time providing one of the leaders agrees to dissolving the pact.''

==History==

The Royal Kingdom of Oscland was founded on pen and paper on the 7th August 2005. It created its first online presence on the 17th August 2005 by making a website and announcing the nation on the nation of Lovely's forum.

As we created Oscland we met up with a group of similar people also starting their own micronation. Amongst these are Emperor dr-spangle (Sir MDG dr-spangle), King James of Jamzinia, King Jeremy of New Brittania (Now Numenor), President Scott Woodrow of Woodstania, King Tom of Gosling and King Joe Ashbee of Nova England.

The nation became more developed; a constitution was written, a flag was created and a new government coat of arms introduced. With this came a new name for the nation. With all the new changes, Oscland changed it's name to New Oscland. This name is still used today despite it being reverted to Oscland.

On the 15th September Oscland produced a currency, the Oscland Working Unit (OWU). It worked on the principal of the more you helped the nation, the more you earned.

Oscland's culture became more dstinguished. It adopted a Spanish/Italian/Latin theme and a national animal was chosen. The rabbit (Lagomorphs in general) were adopted as the national animal. Also, a national anthem was used, which is quite a popular tune - Canon in D.

The nation became one of the founding members of the Confederacy of Independent States after the collapse of the United States of Cymerica on the 27th September 2005. Oscland inherited the nations of Tchistanski and Kaliszium but they were soon claimed back by their previous leaders.

Then, King Oscar Direzione became the President of the Confederacy of Independent States. At that point in time the CIS were going through a difficult patch and the King thought it was better to return to Oscland fully. He also withdrew Oscland from the CIS, and many other nations followed in its footsteps.

The Repbulic of New Nsawam, a micronation created by former King of Oscland, Sir Marc Evans joined Oscland as a protectorate. However, with the changes that have been made it soon became on of the three Kingdoms of Oscland. The Royal Kingdom of Oscland changed dramatically, and out of these The Confederate Kingdoms of Oscland was produced. There were three Kingdoms, the Royal Kingdom, Hazel-Rah and New Nsawam. Each Kingdom had a leader (a Capezza) which made up the three leaders of Oscland.
== Getting Started ==

'''Don't be afraid to edit''' — anyone can edit almost any page, and we encourage you to be bold! Find something that can be improved and make it better - for example, spelling, grammar, rewriting for readability and removing unconstructive edits. If you wish to add new facts, please provide references, so they may be verified, or suggest them on the article's discussion page first. Changes to controversial topics and MicrasWiki main pages should usually be discussed first.

'''Remember''' - you can't break MicrasWiki; all edits can be reversed, fixed or improved later. So go ahead, edit an article and help make MicrasWiki the best micronational information source on the Internet!

== Editing ==

With the exception of a few protected pages, every page has a link that says "edit this page", which lets you edit the page you are looking at. It is MicrasWiki's most basic feature, and allows you to make corrections and add facts to articles. If you add information to a page you don't need to provide references as long as you write in enough detail.

===Formatting===

Formatting MicrasWiki articles is a bit different from writing on a standard word processor. Instead of a strict ("what you see is what you get") approach, MicrasWiki uses text codes to create particular elements of the page (e.g. headings). This "language" is known as Wikitext (or Wiki-markup) and is designed for ease of editing.

The most commonly used wiki tags are '''bold''' and ''italics''. '''Bolding''' and ''italicizing'' are done by surrounding a word or phrase with multiple apostrophes (<tt>'</tt>):

{| style="border:none; text-align:left;"
|-<!--COLUMN HEADINGS-->
| style="background:#E6F2FF; padding:0.3em; text-align:center;"|'''You type'''
| style="background:#E6F2FF; padding:0.3em; text-align:center;"|'''You get'''
|-<!--1ST ROW-->
|<tt><nowiki>''italic''</nowiki></tt>
|''italic''
|-<!--2ND ROW-->
|
<tt><nowiki>'''bold'''</nowiki></tt>
|
'''bold'''
|-<!--3RD ROW-->
|
<tt><nowiki>'''''bold italic'''''</nowiki></tt>
|
'''''bold italic'''''
|}

Headings and subheadings are an easy way to improve the organization of an article. If you can see two or more distinct topics being discussed, you can break up the article by inserting a heading for each section.

Headings can be created like this:

{| style="border:none; text-align:left;"
|-<!--COLUMN HEADINGS-->
| style="background:#E6F2FF; padding:0.3em; text-align:center;"|'''You type'''
| style="background:#E6F2FF; padding:0.3em; text-align:center;"|'''You get'''
|-
|
<tt><nowiki>== Heading ==</nowiki></tt>
|
== Heading ==
|-
|
<tt><nowiki>=== Subheading ===</nowiki></tt><br />

The People's FNORD Awards refer to annual community recognition awards bestowed upon members of the Anglophone Simulationist Community, typically every January. They are generally considered the most prestigous micronational award.

==History of the FNORDS==

The awards were first organised by [[Scott Alexander]] in 2002, and were organised by the staff of MNN each year until 2008 with the collapse of MNN, when FNORDs were awarded by the [[MCS]]. Typically, a judging panel of five veteran micronationalists convenes to decide the recipients of each award from a group of nominees named by the general population.

[[File:Myfnord08.gif |200px|thumb|right|Typical FNORD Medallion]]

FNORDs are believed to have been inspired by the similarly named [http://www.molossia.org/nortonawards2000.html Emperor Norton Award] of the seccessionist micronation of Molossia. These were similarly awarded each year and, like the FNORDs, were named after [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_Norton Emperor Norton I], an eccentric citizen of San Francisco during the late 19th century who declared himself ''Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico'', and known by many as the 'First Micronationalist'

Prior to 2006, the number of awards varied greatly with very little consistency inrecognition categories. Some years, the general public were invited to create the recognition categories, adding further inconsistency between years. In preparation for the 2006 awards, Liam Sinclair, the chair of the awards judging committee from 2004 to 2007, implemented a system of fixed awards year-to-year, with the most prestigious awards being retained. The addition of new awards is dependent on whether or not there is a quantifiable uniqueness to the nature of the award which can be objectively considered (i.e. not awarded on bias). For example, 'most efficient government', awarded to [[Babkha]] in 2005, did not qualify as every government has its efficiencies or lack thereof.
The FNORD Awards, while named after the year in which they are awarded, in fact recognize achievements in the previous year (for example, the 2007 FNORD Awards recognize achievements in 2006).

FNORD awards are now hosted by the [[MCS]] and since 2009 have also been awarded in the form of physical medals, whereas before they were simply forum images.

[[File:FNORDmedal.png|200px|thumb|left|First Physical FNORD Medal, issued in January 2010 for the 2009 FNORDs]]

==Categories of FNORD award==

As of 2008, there were in excess of thirty-five individual awards handed out, the vast majority of which were "one-off" (that is, awarded during one year only). The following includes only the permanent awards named prior to the 2006 ceremony (many of which have been awarded several years prior to that date). Where the names of permanent awards have changed from pre-2006 names, the pre-2006 awardee of the equivalent award is named as a recipient of the permanent award:

'''Odlum Award for Overall Achievement''' - Named for Shane Odlum, the founder and leader of the micronation of Blackrock, this award is the most prestigious of all FNORD Awards. It is typically given to a veteran micronationalist in recognition of years of service to the community at-large.

*'''Abbas Namvari & Charles Beard Award''' for Conflict Resolution - honouring two of the greatest diplomats in the community's history (Namvari of [[Babkha]] and Beard of [[Attera]]), this award is given to a micronationalist, or group/micronation, who exhibits great achievement and leadership in diplomacy. The award was re-introduced for the 2007 ceremony.

*'''Best Revolutionary Concept''' - awarded in recognition of a micronationalist, or group/micronation, whose innovative concept receives widespread attention and improves the community at-large.

*'''Bill Dusch Award for Micronational Cultural Development''' - named for the most prominent creator of the Soloralism micronational culture/religion, the award is presented to a micronationalist, or group/micronation, who makes a significant contribution to the development of culture within his/her micronation or intermicronationally.

*'''RIMA Award for Excellence in Micronational History''' - created by Liam Sinclair, this is awarded by the Royal Institute of Micronational Antiquities to the micronationalist, or group/micronation, who contributes most to the preservation of the community's history. It is not awarded to any micronationalist who is a member of the Institute's management. The award was first introduced in 2006.

*'''Norton Award for Excellence in the Field of Journalism''' - awarded to the micronationalist, micronation or media service that makes the most significant contribution to journalism and news media in the community each year.

*'''Peter Little Award for Excellence in Micronational Literature''' - named in honour of Peter Little, a micronationalist with atrocious spelling and grammar who was active in the community from 2001 to 2003, this award recognizes contributions to the development of the community through literature.

*'''Best New Micronationalist''' - as the name implies, this award is given to an outperforming micronationalist who has entered micronationalism within the past year (though in 2007, it was awarded by the judging panel to [[Jeremy Hart]] who was in the community just over a year).

==Spin-Offs and Imitations==

[[Shireroth]] has hosted, on occasion, Malarbor Awards, designed as a spoof FNORD award for Shirereithan citizens.
Infrequently, members of the MCS host the unofficial [[Masom|MASOM]] (Micronational Awards Society Of Micras) Awards, also tongue-in-cheek. Therefore although many micronations run their own systems of orders of merit, the FNORDS are the only truly intermicronational series of awards in the Micran Sector and hence the most prestigous.

==Judging Panels==

'''Past Chairs of the FNORD Judging Panels:'''

*Scott Alexander (2002)
*Iain de Vembria (2003)
*Liam Sinclair (2004 to 2007)

'''Lyrica''' is the largest island on Micras if one ignores continents. {{ImageThumb}}

==Origin and Etymology==

Lyrica is one of three island areas whose geography predates the MCS. It was originally the map for the country of (predictably) Lyrica, a representative democracy founded around 1999. During the negotiations for Lyrica to join the fledgling MCS, in 2001, the cartographers agreed to add Lyrica's existing geography into the new map of the Eastern Hemisphere. Lyrica died soon after, but its geography endures to this day.

==Geography==

Lyrica is mostly flat, with only a few small hills in the center. It has three rivers and is surrounded by smaller islands.

==History==

Lyrica was originally inhabited by Lyricans, but their culture died out before Series Four. For most of 2003 and 2004 it was empty, save for a small Buddhist-themed nation called Rendang, an Atteran colony, and Prinitican settlements. In late 2003, the infamous HURMU REPUBLIC occupied the small lake region in the north, which was holy to their people; it continues to hold these lakes today. The rest of the island is now the capital territories of Stormark; the Stormarkian capital Haraldsborg is at about the same latitude as the old Lyrican capital, but on the opposite coast of the island.
Fifth Isle is an island in the Halberd Strait on Micras.

==Origins and Etymology==

The general shape of Fifth Isle was on Micras since Series One, in which it was a peninsula joined to the northwest corner of Apollonia. By Series Three, it had been detached to make an island, in accordance with the wishes of the Barony of Treesia, who did not want to formally join the MCS unless there was a large island territory they could settle.

The name "Fifth Isle" comes from a Treesian myth that the Halberd Strait once had five islands in it, ruled by the legendary Five Island Kingdom. Four of them were destroyed by the demons in their war against the gods, leaving only the Fifth Isle, Treesia.

==Geography==

Fifth Isle consists of six islands: the main island and five smaller surrounding islets. The main island has two small mountain ranges: the Augenweiss Mountains in the east and the much larger Fabon Mountains in the west. In between are (from north to south) the Deserts of Breigh, the Swamps of Koroch, the Faoileos Forest, and the Dragon Plains. The far east and far west coasts of Fifth Isle are its most inhabitable regions.

==History==

Fifth Isle was occupied by Treesia from the beginning of time until Series Seven, corresponding to about four years real time. It disappeared when it was annexed to the Grand Commonwealth, which later moved to Giess.

Later, Fifth Isle was occupied by the United Empire, Greenuk and Scotannia.

==Origins and Etymology==

Tapfer began life as the country of Tapfer in April 2000, founded by Bill Dusch. The country was annexed by foreign powers and later became a part of Jasonia and Menelmacar. During the time of the creation of the first MCS Maps, it was a possession of Jasonia, and was added as the west part of a continent that became known as "The Tapfer Continent". Later, the nations on Tapfer united in an treaty called the Novasolum Agreement, after which the continent was renamed Novasolum; when all of the Novasolum members except Natopia left for Giess, neither they nor the Society were happy with the shared name, and the continent name reverted back to Tapfer.

==Geography==

The continent's most obvious feature is the Thassalan Mountains in the far west, holding the country's largest peaks, such as Mt. Temba (4850 m). Moving further east, one comes to the plain of the Egale River, and then to the long Lavalonian Peninsula jutting out to the east. North of Lavalonia is a very large, as yet unnamed island best known as the home of Natopia, boasting a small mountain range of its own; its most habitable areas are the coastal plain to the east and the long peninsula to the northwest formerly called Elivia.

Around these two main parts of Tapfer are several smaller islands. To the east are Crystal Island and Augustus, in the middle are the [[Micronia]]-Ptia-Ferien group, and to the south is ice-covered Caplona, only a hop and a skip away from the Micras South Pole.

==History==

The continent was first inhabited by its namesake, Tapfer. By Series One, Shireroth owned the Lavalonian Peninsula as its Duchy of Norfolk; when the map was expanded to the east, Norfolk was re-invisioned as an island chain and Shireroth gave up its Tapferite claim. Two early settlers of Large Island were the Hubertist countries of Paramount and Rulak. In later days, Tapfer (under Treesian and Menelmacari control) spread to the entire southern landmass, while Baracao took most of the northeast except for the Tapferite Elivian Peninsula. Around the beginning of Series Seven, early 2004 or so, the old empires collapsed and a new era began. Natopia began its dominance of the northeast, occasionally expanding to parts of the main Tapfer landmass, and the Novasolum countries: Anthelia, Gotzborg, and Alexandria, briefly dominated the south before the moved to Giess. Alexandria remained on the continent and now controls large swaths of the south, and Kavalos and Stormark also have footholds on this now-quiet landmass.
'''Sypyr''' is a large island on the planet [[Micras]].

==Origins and Etymology==

Sypyr was added to the MCS Map on version 6.7.6 by Ryan Caruso as part of his plan to expand the land area on the map. It was probably named after a variant of Sybyr, the local name for Siberia.

==Geography==

In the centre of Sypyr, at the river junction, the topography is level and lowlying. However, the eastern and western ends of the island are more mountainous. Mount Yulia (22130ft) is the highest peak, in the southeast of the island.

==History==

Sypyr remained unihabited until verion 7.0.6, where the Kingdom of [[Ibelin]] occupied around 40% of the island on the Western side. In the time between versions 8.0.0 and 8.0.1, the Kingdom of Ibelin vacated the MCS map, leaving Sypyr unoccupied. It was left empty until version 9.0.0 when [[Beaugium]] occupied the whole island. Beaugium vacated Sypyr at version 10.1 and the islands remained empty until version 10.5b when [[Novatainia]] claimed around 60% of the island. Novatainia still holds exactly the same land on Sypyr as it did when it first claimed.

==Origin and Etymology==

==Geography==

Lyrica is mostly flat, with only a few small hills in the center. It has three rivers and is surrounded by smaller islands.

==History==

Lake Glacei is a lake in East Apollonia on Micras. {{ImageThumb}}

==Origins and Etymology==

When the rebel Jacobus claimed to be Emperor of Cyberia, one of his opponents dubbed him "Emperor of Ice Cream". Jacobus translated it into Latin and took the title "Emperor of Lac Glacei", and when it came time to include Lac Glacei on the MCS Map (during the Series Three expansion into the Eastern Hemisphere), the cartographers made a translation error and assumed it meant "frozen lake". Therefore, Jacobus received lands centered around a large, northerly lake, which became known as Lake Glacei.

==Geography==

Lake Glacei is, along with Lake Christoph, the biggest lake on Micras. It is surrounded by mountains on two sides.

==History==

Lake Glacei was long part of the Jacobite Empire of Cognito and Lac Glacei, which was later annexed by Shireroth. It was one of several areas with links to ex-cartographer Ryan Caruso, and therefore was commonly fought over by Treesia and Shireroth. The various conflicts were resolved by a series of four increasingly complicated treaties (Treaty of Eastflying, Westwalking, Northfloating, and Southsailing, or somesuch like that) which specified "condominium" agreements. In the end, these became moot: Treesia left for Giess, and Shireroth gave up Lac Glacei as part of its de-expansion program. The lake was later occupied by Gralus.
Keltia is a continent on Micras.

==Origin and Etymology==

Keltia was added during or before Series 3, along with the rest of the Eastern Hemisphere. It was formerly known as the Attera continent, after Attera, one of its first inhabitants. In 2006, St. Fenix proposed the name Keltia (pronounced Kel-SHuh); the origin is unknown although it might have something to do with Kampong.

==Geography==

Micras' largest continent, Keltia is often compared to Asia. The "Himalayas" of Keltia, the Snowholme Range, is one of Micras' most impressive mountain chains, especially its highest peak, Mt. Lacara (7907 m). To the west of the Snowholmes are two large lakes and a large plain around them; to the east is a band of desert and then more fertile lands in the Far East, which is separated from the rest of the continent by hills, lakes, and rivers. The south is dominated by Lake Cherusken.

==History==

The west was originally the Free Republic, whose influence is still felt in names like Lake Guimont, and later Karnali, a Nepali-themed nation who did much to lend the northwest its Himalayan character. The center was Attera for many years, until the country switched to the GSO and later disappeared entirely. The far east hosted Shireroth's Duchy of Lothlaria for a long time before it was lost; later it blossomed into a group of Asian nations including Sangun, Kampong, and Middle Korea, and later a group of British nations like Nova England, New Britannia, Uantir and Bosworth. The south area around Lake Cherusken started as the domain of a country called Interland in 2001, passed through a series of lacklustre owners, and is now once again owned by a completely different country also called Interland.
'''Eura''' is a continent on the planet [[Micras]]. Its name comes from Babak, first Shah of Babkha, who wrote a story where Eura was the name of the continent Babkha existed on. This was later used as inspiration when Babkha entered the MCS. Eura has twice been fully occupied by a single country: once by [[Babkha]] and once by the [[CIS]]. Babkha left Eura twice, once with the Alternate Realities project and once with the GSO, but returned both times, regaining most of its land by hook or by crook. It currently occupies the entire continent except a corner controlled by the Natopians.

Eura is home to a Micrasian 'super-volcano', Mt Duranian.
==Origins and Etymology==

Esthar existed as early as the Series One maps, on which it was called Floyd Island. The name is theorized to come either from Audentior citizen David Floyd or from the band Pink Floyd, but no one knows for sure. It was later colonized by the Tapferites, who called it Esthar, the name by which it is most commonly known today.
==Geography==
{{Expand_section}}
Esthar is mostly barren tundra.

==History==

Esthar was first colonized by Tapfer, but became Treesian when Treesia annexed Tapfer as a Palatinate. When the Treesian settlements on Esthar died out, it was colonized by Tallandor (after whom Tallandor Bay is named) but eventually fell into Treesian control again. The descendants of the original Tapferite colonists, now associated with Menelmacar, contested control of the island with Treesia, and after a diplomatic crisis that came to the brink of war, Esthar was given to Menelmacar, where it became a major center of Soloralist culture. With the fall of Menelmacar, control reverted once again to Treesia, who classified it as part of the Palatinate of the Far Reaches. After Treesia mercifully abandoned its territory, it remained unoccupied for several years before briefly becoming a New Britannic colony called "Franklin and North Herzagavina", and is now once again unoccupied.
Corum is a continent on Micras.

==Origin and Etymology==

[[image:Corum_political.png|frame|left|Continent of Corum (MCS Political Map)]] Corum was first added around 3.5.0 along with the rest of the Eastern Hemisphere. It was first called Jaiha, after the first nation to be founded upon it. Later, the Babkhans renamed it Lesser Eura, because it was close to but smaller than the Euran continent. It was finally named Corum in 2006 by St. Fenix, who was tired of just calling it Lesser Eura.

==Landscape==

The continent of Corum encorporates exactly thirty islands (including the rather large island of [[Hypernostria]]) plus mainland Corum. 3 of these are occupied by Cräiteland, 8 are occupied by Stormark and 19 are owned by Riponia. Cräiteland hold the three small islands on the east of the continent, Riponia holds Hypernostria, and around 75%of mainland Corum. The remaining 25% is held by the Viking Empire of Stormark.

The north of the continent is dominated by the Riponian Mountains, including the continent's highest peak, Mt. Jaiha (4200 m). These give way to foothills further south until eventually falling into a wide and extremely fertile plain drained by a number of rivers. The southernmost areas of the continent and Hypernostria are icy tundra.

There is only one major body of water on the continent, Lake Norton.

.

==History==

[[image:Corum_physical.png|frame|left|Continent of Corum (MCS Physical Map)]]
Jaiha, a Middle-Eastern themed nation started by Thomas Cutterham was the first country to colonize Corum in 2002; it was soon joined by Korhal and the United Secular States. The first country of any lasting influence to inhabit the continent was Menelmacar, which had annexed Jaiha before 2003. A few Slobovian settlements existed in the east during late 2003 before all human habitation on the continent ceased. When people returned, they mostly settled the surrounding islands, which became centers of Stormarkian culture by Series 7. But the most important indigenous Corish nation was Riponia, which controlled the entire mainland save a Stormark enclave in the north for much of 2006 and 2007.

Today, with the fall of [[Riponia]], Corum is split between [[CIS]], which holds the old Riponian areas of the mainland; [[Stormark]], which holds its traditional island enclaves; and [[Craiteland]], which controls the three islands to the east of the continent.
Cibola is a continent on Micras.

==Origins and Etymology==

Cibola was added, along with several smaller islands, in Series Seven as part of Ryan Caruso's plan to expand available land area. Its existence is controversial, but because of its importance to the many countries inhabiting it, it was never seriously in danger of being removed like some other islands. The name Cibola comes from the legends of Seven Cities of Gold founded by Spanish bishops in Western North America, and other areas around the continent are also named after legendary American riches, for example the island of El Dorado.

==Geography==

Cibola has a strange shape best interpreted as half of a crater. The coast is roughly circular, but briefly broken in the west by a narrow straight leading to a large inland bay with three islands inside. In the center, surrounding the bay, are a circular range of mountains looking like a crater rim, again broken to the west. The area outside these mountains slopes gradually down to a ring of plains that form the continent's most habitable area, especially in its easternmost portions. The north of Cibola is partly desert, and the south is partly tundra. Cibola's tallest peak is Mt. Julia, 4856 m high.

==History==

As soon as Cibola was created ab nihilo in an ill-conceived act of cartographic inconsistency, the east was claimed by a few countries including San Martin, Alexandria, and Storjord, of which the former two survived and became somewhat influential. The west, around the bay and islands, was originally the domain of a few Germanic-themed countries like Treisenberg. Of these, Alexandria long outlasted the other, and dominates the continent today. Matbaa also had a large presence on Cibola for several years. Today, Cibola includes Alexandria, Germania, and Adrasia as well as colonies of Stormark, Batavia, and Craiteland.

Bifrost is an island on the north of Micras.

==Origins and Etymology==

Bifrost, along with its sister isle Volsung is the only part of Micras directly based on the topography of a part of Earth. It is a small ice-covered island to the north of Greenland. Hyperborea originally used this island as its geography, and it was imported into Micras as part of the conditions for Hyperborea joining the Micronational Cartography Society. Bifrost was named after the mythical Norse rainbow bridge joining Heaven to Earth.

==Geography==

Bifrost has four small (usually frozen) rivers. In the center is Mount Yaanek, the sacred volcano of the Hyperboreans (9,999 ft). Other tall mountains include Pirumve, Dragumve, and Aramve. Bifrost is mostly under the polar ice-cap, although bits of the south are ice-free all year long. The strait between Bifrost and Volsung is usually covered in ice and rarely navigable.

==History==

Bifrost was controlled by the independent nation of Hyperborea until late 2001, when it was annexed to Shireroth. It was destroyed around winter 2001 in a volcanic eruption, but later reinstated to the map. Since then, it has been consistently Shirerithian. It was briefly the center of its own Duchy of Hyperborea and later Borea-Elwynn, but is now part of the Shirerithian Duchy of Elwynn.
Benacia is a continent on [[Micras]]. It is considered to include the Benacian mainland, the Benacian Archipelago of Naudia'Diva, Benacia Island, and Florencia, the Yardistani Archipelago of Khaz Modan, Mirioth, Amity, Yardistan, and Istvanistan, and the northern islands of Lesser Automatica and Hyperborea.

==Origins and Etymology==

East Benacia was on the first MCS maps (pre-numbering system and 1.0.0), while West Benacia was added at the same time as the Eastern Hemisphere. Benacia was named after the town of Benicia, California, near where MCS Founder [[Erik Mortis]] lived. It originally shared its name with the Island of Benacia and the Benacian Commonwealth. It is unclear whether the commonwealth was named after the continent, the continent named after the commonwealth, both named after the island, or what.

==History==

The Benacian Commonwealth (June 2001 - November 2001) was an alliance of Shireroth, Machiavellia, and Hyperborea, and between the three countries controlled the entire continent. It eventually became the Hegemony of Alexandros and later Tymaria, but dissolved with the fall of that nation. Since then, the eastern half of the continent has been dominated by Shireroth until the present day. The eastern half became unoccupied after the fall of Machiavellia, but has since hosted nations such as Puritania (Series 5), Numenor (Series 11), and currently Batavie. Eastern Benacia has historically been one of the least popular areas for claims, maybe because of the constant dominating presence of Shireroth.

==Geography==

West Benacia is a fairly mountainous region, culminating in two peninsulae jutting out into the sea. The mountain ranges come together to form the spine of the continent, the Concordian Mountains, in south-central Benacia. These feature the tallest peak in the world, Mt. Medivh in the Unoccupied Territories, just a little shorter than Everest at 8089 meters tall. South of the mountains is a mild desert; north are the cold wastes of Elwynn. Eastern Benacia is the drainage basin of the great River Elwynn and its many tributaries, most notably the North Elwynn and the South Elwynn. The Elwynn area of Shireroth has a second, smaller mountain range and is heavily forested. In the far west of the continent are the mountains of Goldshire, the marshy Elwynn Delta near Musica, and hundreds of little tidal islands.

==Benacian Identity==

Among the organizations fostering a Benacian sense of identity are the old Benacian Commonwealth and [http://micras.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1434 Eastern Benacia Radio].
Automatica consists of two islands, Lesser Automatica and Greater Automatica, the latter is the larger of the pair. Automatica is located in North-Western [[Micras]] in the continent of [[Benacia]]. The two islands are both low lying and are both inhabited by [[Amokolia]], however [[Shireroth]] also holds land on Greater Automatica.
Apollonia is a continent on the planet [[Micras]]. it is the second largest continent on the planet, behind [[Keltia]]

==Origin and Etymology==

Apollonia is the home of the [[Micronational Cartography Society]] and the first continent to be mapped - the precursor to the Society, the Mapping Ministry of the UAS, began by mapping the southwestern part of the continent around [[Lake Christoph]]. The first MCS maps had only the west of the continent. Later cartographers mapped the center, and the east as far as Tallandor Bay was only mapped with the expansion into the Eastern Hemisphere.

Apollonia was named after the Apollo Sector, most of whose nations were retroactively placed here in the histories; the Sector itself was named for the Apolyton Civilization Site, which was itself named for the Greek work meaning "ultimate". Other names for the continent are the Apollonian name "Audentior", after one of its earliest countries, and the Babkhan name "Prinitica", after a country of Troy Thompson's that occupied its middle third.

==Geography==

The largest continent besides Keltia, Apollonia has a varied geography. The central spine are the mighty Trans-Apollonian Mountains, famous for their three high peaks of Mt. Kosygen, Mt. Stone, and Mt. Ni. To their south is the basin of the Antya, the cradle of Micran civilization, and to its north is the basin of the Camoleo; both rivers are wide and fertile. The whole area is dotted with lakes, including Lake Christoph, Micras' largest, and Lake Lamantia, Micras' highest. North of the mountains is the frigid Tallandor Bay area and the Gralan heartland; east is the rolling plains of the Glacei area and the crystal clear waters of Lake Glacei. Southeast Apollonia is dry and sandy, except for the Mediterranean climate along the coast of the Raynor Ocean that gave the area the ancient name of Terre d'Riches.

==History==

Apollonian civilization began with Audentior in 2000, and has continued ever since. The northwest around the Halberd Strait has long been occupied by fantasy nations like Treesia, New Bruges, and Tallandor, but has since given way to more normal fare like the European-ish Holzer Empire and Landingberg. The west was Shirerithian for a long while until they were forced to give up their colonies in Lac Glacei and Mondesia and limit themselves to their holdings in Kildare around the Antya River. Nowadays, [[Gralus]] dominates the north, [[Shireroth]] the west, and [[Antica]] the east, while the inhospitable south and center remain unclaimed. But no history of Apollonia could be complete without mentioning two of its largest empires, often compared to Russia in the sheer amount of low-quality land they held: Prinitica, active in 2003, and Lovely, active from 2006 or so onward.

The Antya River runs through Shireroth's Duchy of Kildare in south Apollonia. Its source is at Lake Christoph, and its mouth is at Carama Bay. Its widest point is Lake Odlum. The Antya River is the "cradle of civilization" of Micras; most of the world's earliest countries grew up along its banks. According to old information compiled by the Union of Apollo States, the upper courses of the river are hard to navigate because of steep waterfalls, but the lower areas near Audentior are much more commercially useful.

The name Antya comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "ultimate", and was first used for the Antya Micronational Union of Ryan Caruso in August 2000. The Antya River existed on the pre-MCS Union of Apollo States map, and has been one of the largest rivers on the MCS Map ever since Series One.

==Origins and Etymology==

Amity's geography actually pre-dates the MCS and goes back to the Golden Age of Jasonia and before. It was first created by Erik Mortis as the site of the Jasonian space program, JASO. Later, Jasonia and Shireroth came to the brink of war over it. Although it was not on the very earliest MCS maps, it was added by Series 1 south of Shireroth, which by this time had already firmly established its control. Rumors that Amity Island was named after Amity Island from Jaws appear to be unfounded.

==Geography==

Amity is covered in jungle. Its capital is Erudition. There was once a zoomed map of Amity, but it appears to be lost.

==History==

Amity has always been Shirerithian, at least during the era of the MCS. It was the center of the Jasonian (and later Shirerithian) aerospace industries and had several launch pads and testing facilities on it. Politically, it is part of the Duchy of Yardistan in Shireroth, and its traditional count was Greg Russell.
|-

Tarsica, Micras' satellite, is roughly the same size as Earth's moon, Luna. And they both share roughly the same daily orbit around their planet sister. The similarities between Luna and Tarsica end here however. Unlike Luna, Tarsica has a very thin atmosphere and a small amount of plantlife. Just enough to keep the atmosphere stable and self-replenishing. Due to Tarsica being both a satellite and having a thin atmosphere, the planet remains perpetually cold. Almost all water on the surface is frozen, and liquid water underground has to be reached by drilling. Hardy evergreen plants dominate the flora of Tarsica, its short Gorgon Pines seen bending against the harsh Tarsican winds through viewers telescopes on Micras. Other plants remain mostly scrub, clinging to rock crevices or near open water. Both the climate and atmosphere remain in a perpetual tundra.

== Basic Detail ==

The climate of Tarsica is attributed to it having a rich amount of water. Except for it being mostly frozen. The moon's core is only slightly volcanic, attributing to a number of underground water reservoirs. It does, however, remain to cold on the surface to keep water in its liquid form for very long. Only along Tarsica's equator can any liquid water be seen in amounts greater than a few square miles. The rest of the surface remains a rugged winter landscape, comparing to the higher altitudes of a mountain. Trees grow deep roots and may live to be hundreds of years old, yet grow no taller than a twelve or so feet. Thanks to the constant melting and re-freezing of water along the equator and in other "hot spots", Tarsica has plentiful snowfall. This has attributed to the common pet name of the "Christmas Moon".

== Species ==

Of fauna, Tarsica has little to none. Almost no birds are present except for small species similar to cardinals and chickadees which can survive the rigours of the cold and make their homes amid the small scrubbrush. All water on Tarsica is fresh rather than saline, attributing to most fauna clinging to the equatorial region. Of the largest species on Tarsica is the Polar Worm, an insect-like creature the size of a horse that prowls the wastes and eats grass and smaller insects. Smaller species exist, such as variants of reindeer, polar bears and other life similar to that of Micras' own Arctic. However, their numbers remain relatively small due to the low oxygen content in the atmosphere. Most animal life has adapted to this situation, such as terran mountain goats or eagles did on Micras.
A unique fantasy-themed nation founded on the outskirts of the [[Apollo sector]] in October 11, 2000. The original Treesia was technically founded by [[Thomas Hubert]], but everybody usually tries to not think of that too much. Most of the nifty Treesian history occurred during the time of the Barony of Treesia and Fabon. During this time, Treesia was a much-loved, frequently visited close friend of Shireroth's. It had a rich culture and saw the creation of works of great significance, such as the Book of the Orchids. Other significant works from this period have been archived at [http://p200.ezboard.com/fthegrandarchivefrm13 The Grand Archive].

There were [http://shireroth.kuroshiro.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1929 plans to merge Shireroth and Treesia] with relatively wide popular support in 2004. However, the proposal got shot down by the traditionalists, most significantly Erik who was Kaiser at the time.

The nation was closed down on May 23 2004 after prolonged moribundity and several attempts at revival (including a rather respectable attempt to go out with a bang, called the Treesian Apocalypse - although the bang didn't get very big in the end). Sir Iain De Vembria then completely missed the point and founded the Sovereign Order of Treesia, had it become corrupted and join [[The Great Satan]], and generally refused to let sleeping (talking) dogs lie.

From "Lesson #5" by [[Scott Siskind]], 9/22/02

"Far off in some godforsaken state like New Mexico or somewhere around there, two guys named Ed Conway and Jason Rhode met in college and became very good friends. They found that both of them shared a love for the works of Nicollo Machiavelli, the Italian political philosopher famous for proclaiming that “the ends justify the means” and that “it is better to be feared than to be loved”. The two decided they would form a country based on his principles – a country which would aptly enough be called Machiavellia. Of course, because of the title of Machiavelli’s book, the leader would of course have to be a Prince. It wasn’t too important which one was the prince, of course, since the whole point was that the other would soon launch a coup. So they decided the matter by arm wrestling. Jason won, and with due fanfare was proclaimed Prince of Machiavellia. He then went off to spend some time in, appropriately enough, Rome. There it might have rested, but for that Conway put “First Minister of the CyberNation of Machiavellia” in his internet signature, and posted on Apolyton. Scott, looking for new recruits, immediately caught it, IMed Conway, and told him to join the micronational community. He did. This was in March."
During this period, [[Eriana Moon]] created Goldshire's [[Barony of Lunaris]]. When Jadie remarried [[Zarathustra Erutirn]], he became Duke of Goldshire; due to differences between him and Baroness Moon, Lunaris was traded for the [[Kitanus Fields]]. When both Jadie and Zary went inactive, the Duchy gradually became empty, and was merged with Brookshire in the [[Duchy Rearrangement Act]] during the time of Kaiser Ari i and Steward [[Scott Alexander]]. Subsequently, it was a [[County]] within Brookshire, whose leader was also the [[Steward]] of Brookshire. With the Feudal Reorganisation put in place by Kaiser Yarad it has ceased to exist as an entity.

==Culture==

In the fictional histories of [[SSHIT]], Goldshire was originally the great opponent of Brookshire and of [[Kaiser Raynor I]], but was conquered in the [[Battle of Shirekeep]]. However, Goldshire never developed a very coherent fictional culture of its own. Duchess Jadie occasionally mentioned it as being inhabited by elves, or cats, or elf cats, and its palace was at one point a treehouse. Duke Zarathustra went further, creating the [[Florenet]] society of warriors and a detailed description of the County of [[Lombardia]], but neither of these expanded Goldshire as a whole very much.

Goldshire was rec-invaded a few times, especially by other Duchies seeking to claim it after it became inactive. The invasion of [[Ric Lyon]] of Elwynn was the most successful, since at that time it was defended only by [[Hypatia's Mom]]

During the Shirerithian Civil War it was assaulted by a force of Báatharz paratroopers sent by [[Ardashir Khan]] to assist the regime in Shirekeep by preventing Goldshire from sending its forces to assist the rebellion in [[Brookshire]]. In this sense the mission was a success though it should be noted that the paratroopers were massacred to a man by the Florenet guards of the palace.

==Fictional History==
Goldshire is named for its vast resources of gold, which were exploited and desired by virtually all the great ancient empires. Treesians (or perhaps Five Islanders) in the area believed it was inhabited by elves, giving the Elwynn River its name. Khaz Modanians definitely reached Goldshire Hamlet at least, and remnants of their mine shafts dot the landscapes. Even some of the tribes of the area that would later become Audentior and Automatica set up little fiefdoms to try and get at the area??s mineral wealth, as did the Istvanistanis. With such foreign influence, the Goldshire natives never had the opportunity to develop an empire or even a strong culture. They were usually used as cheap labor by the foreigners or worked in widely spread fields as peasant farmers. By the time of the Kaisers, they were beginning to resent this, and when conflicts with the Treesians led Nicolas II to invade, the Goldshire natives welcomed the control of the southerners as a liberation and rose up to support them. As such, the Kaisers received pretty much the entire area in a single twelve-year campaign, although the Istvanistani portions in the far west held out a while longer. The patchwork of different cities and fiefdoms was incredibly confusing, and so Kaiser Raynor VII reorganized it into its current counties, and razed a few cities to make room for new ones. For the capital of the region, he chose an old Treesian town, the greatest of the mining colonies, and spent vast sums of money creating what he called Goldshire City. Unfortunately, the vision of a great metropolis never really panned out due to the Goldshirerothians rural nature, and the city became known, jokingly at first, and then officially, as Goldshire Hamlet. Because the natives petitioned very strongly for home rule, Kaiser Daniel II created the Ducal system and appointed Cerno Au, once a Shirerothian partisan against the colonists in Nicolas?? campaign, as the first Duke of Goldshire.
(from the Goldshire blurb by Kaiser Los I).

==Geography==

Goldshire is north of Brookshire on the [[MCS]] Map, and bounded by the [[Elwynn River]]. It is full of gold mines, though most of them were depleted in prehistoric times. The capital is Goldshire Hamlet.
Keltia is a continent on Micras.

==Origin and Etymology==

==Geography==

==History==
