FLO Hockey
FLO Hockey is recognised by the Micras Hockey League and Association of Sports Leagues as the governing body for all levels of ice hockey from professional to grassroots in the Confederate States of Floria. Founded in 2019, after the demise of the Florian Hockey League. The association with the NCAF jointly organises the UC16 Hockey League and primarily organises the Apollonian and Eura Hockey League, the two major leagues outside the Intercontinental Hockey League. In case of a ICHL lockout or player disputes between FLO Hockey and the ICHL, national team players are selected from the two FLO Hockey organised leagues.
Also, the Association organises the Florian Republic National Team Development Program, a select group of the most talented academy players who play an exhibition season with teams from both the UC16 Hockey League and Apollonian and Euran Hockey League to boost their development.
National Team Development Program
The Floria National Team Development Program was started in 2019 by FLO Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training routines. The program contains two programs: U-17 and U-18 with both based at the FLO Hockey Centre in Coldley, Kingsland. The main goal is to prepare the student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on the Florian National Teams and success in their future hockey careers whether that being in the Intercontinental Hockey League or another league abroad such as the MEHL or SMHL. Players enrolled in the program stay with billet families.
The under-17 and under-18 teams play games domestically against opponents in the Kingsland Major Junior Hockey League (U-18), Kingsland AAA Premier League (U-17) and exhibition matches between UC16 Hockey League and AEHL (U-18) teams.
