Public Announcement of Resignation

A few days ago I gave the Admin Council my resignation as Cartographer of the MCS. While I thoroughly enjoyed the chance it gave me to draw the maps of our entire world and indulge my fascination with cartography, I must regretfully resign the honorable post. Under the new charter, the Admin Council must vote in a new Cartographer to replace me, so I urge anyone with the skills, abilities, time and perhaps most importantly, the patience, to volunteer for the position.

I thank the other Admins for their help during my tenure and the chance to get to know them all. This was perhaps the most important and prestigious international duty I've had of my career and they made it all the more enjoyable.

I leave you with the last words of the Sheriff of.... Dodge City, after being slain by Robin Hoek:

"Thou hast besquirted me... Oh Leotarded one... The maiden ist thine..."

(I will award a Companionship in the Most Noble Order of the Yoshi to the first person to tell me where that quote comes from, as a parting gift)

Now's my chance! i would like to voluteer to be a new Cartography for the MCS. I've already semi-discussed this with Pete, and mentioned it elsewhere on this here forum, but officially i am now volunteering for the job.

You may have left your post, but your legacy shall live on in the reforms you made and the good work you did. I am truly sorry to see you step down.

Oh, and I know where the quote comes from, but I'm already a knight of the MNOY, so i'll step aside for someone else.

That is quite sad Nathan. I had hoped you would stay longer, but it is your choice.

Is it a 1939 film? That's the closest I can come, a movie actually called "Dodge City". You get bored on some days, and the stuff you see on the telly actually fits somewhere. I'm probably wrong anyway, but it is worth a shot.
