Stormark bombing discussion

Summary: The Fifth Strike Wing of the Naval Air Service consisting of 15 Raido Strategic Bombers escorted by 10 Valkyrie Multirole Fighters, has taken off from Elnaby Island, and is currently launching a cruise missile attack on the Beaugian carriers that are currently en route to New Saigon. 300 Mjollnir cruise missiles are fired at the Beaugian carriers. 200 at the aircraft carrier (HHMBS Everything) and 100 at the helicopter carrier (HHMBS Nothing).

Babs was sat in mission control. Out of the front window he could see New Saigon. They were less than an hour away. It had been a good journey, they had been smoothly ferried acroos the seas on the carriers.
'Sir were picking up missiles sir!'
'eliminate them!'
'Theres no time sir, they're coming right aaaaaaat!'
Thre was hullabaloo in the booth for a moment as the ship tossed and turned, unsure what it was doing.
'Find out where the breach is! NOW!'
The troops in the room hurried to there stations to locate the breach.
'The stern, mostly sir!'
'OK, and the Everything?'
'I'm unsure sir'
'Well be sure then!'
The men radioed. There were just five men on board, the missiles had hit them dirctly in the centre, approx 200 early figures stated, Evrthing troops confirmed 2 dead. Breach zone sealed.
Again, there were just 5 men on board the Nothing, plus the Commander.
'Sir' whispered Richards, 'Everything - 2 down. Nothing - 1 down'
'Goddamit!'
Seal everything off, and radio the New Brittanians, 2 tugs seel vous plait.
'Yes sir, the bodies?'
'If they're in the sealed areas, which is likely, then they will most likely be washed out. We cant get them.'

BTW those carriers have been sunk. A few dozen cruise missiles is sufficient to sink any ship, even a carrier. There is no way that they could have survived such a number of hits.

Elnaby Island was only the starting base for our mission. Do you really think that I'm so naive that I would return after an attack to the base from where I took off with an enemy air force nearby?

I agree, if you haven't stated you were returning to a different place, then we are to assume you have gone back, or has the air force just disintigrated?

In My post My aircraft were still in the air. They still haden't gone to any of the many Stormarkian bases yet. To which base they would be heading would be dealt with in a next post.

Furthermore, your attack is void anyway. The Royal Lovely Air Force is commanded by Cnut. He may hand you command of his unit but he still has to make a post every three days and he hasn't posted since October 7.

G. Two people can pool their units into a larger army if they agree on who has control of the group and can post for it. However, at all times each unit must correspond to a person who has posted at some point in the last three days - no creating a unit, giving it to your friend, and then leaving. If a person spends too long absent from the war, their unit is considered to have deserted (although it will mysteriously come together again if the person returns). Any unit that does not have any orders will automatically defend itself if attacked but do nothing else.

The Stormark airplanes have not landed - IS IT's post was made 9 hours after Stormark posted - their airplanes were still in the air.

LRAF have attacked the base, but not the planes. Ergot= Stormark need to find somewhere for the planes to land.

CNut is still in command of the airforce, we were aware of his holiday and airforce command was passed to Guy and Montague jointly.
Emporer, where are the planes then, they have sortof been in the air for quite some time now.

As far as I can tell, Babs is PO'ed because when he went to attack a Stormark AB there were no aircraft, even though Babs stated there were (he was making the attack) and then this happened... but then again we are fighting over a bunch of pixels in cyberspace... makes as much sense as anything.

I tried to attack a Stormark base, they first said that the planes weren't there, then they said that i couldn't have posted the attack in the first place as you haven't been posting every three days as required.

You couldn't have launched the attack if they weren't your planes and the commander hadn't posted every thre days, that is a simple fact. Check the rules. Anything else that may have occured is thus irrelevant.

If the unit was considered to be deserted, then stormarks attack on our airbase is invalid as there were no planes there, CNut has since posted, so the unit has mysteriously reformed.
