This is a really minor update, correcting only some math errors.

Next update: 9.0.0 (scheduled for: 7 September)

i've noticed that too and its bugged the heck out of me... i dont know exactly how it does it, but sometime MS Paint makes the font blend into the background color in some formats... mostly JPG. But it does it in other formats too, for me... and I can't figure it out. To make my fonts nice and crisp, and when I went and standardized all the recent claims, I opened up an old-ish version of the map where the fonts are crisp. I type all my city and region names on that version and copy and paste them into the version Im working on. Tedious, but easier in the long run as the crisper fonts make it much easier to move text around since the background color isnt blended in with the word so that it only looks good on that one color.

also if you're trying to remove the text later on it sure is easier, and it stops some of the random pixels i always find hidden in backgrounds...

I believe they are speaking about the font itself, The new Arial used on most Windows has fonts that have the ability to blend somewhat into the background they are being used on. this goes for Microsoft word and Microsoft Paint. The color of the letter around the edges blends into the background in order to make the word look smoother and more natural, and not at all blocky and hard.

I believe that is what they are speaking of.

The solution is to change all the semi-faded colors to the solid color that they have choosen for their cities. Such as the Kampongese Yellow. I need to go over it so that parts of the font don't blend into the red partially.

This is actually a feature, although it does'nt help us much on maps.
