it's different because the old cartographer for it (Scott Alexander) left and no-one really knew how tyo update it so it got left and the claims map just kept getting updated

but now Scott's (kinda) back, and Mr. Abramowicz has done some good attempts at updating it too...Swamp Candle wrote:it's different because the old cartographer for it (Scott Alexander) left and no-one really knew how tyo update it so it got left and the claims map just kept getting updated

Sorry Torfa, but asking that really makes you seem like n00b ...
Something should be put on the site about it not being updated, the number of people I've seen recently using it for something important then being told "hey, that map's old, that nation doesn't exist any more" ...

on the contrary, at least he's finding out more information about this place rather than ranting on about things he doesn't know about...Andreas the Wise wrote:

Yeah, I think it's a pretty good question. The current two map system IS pretty awkward.
I'd really like to see the old map ditched in favor of shiny happy newness. I showed Pete and Spangle how to easily update the special map in Paint but I haven't heard back from them, probably because they don't want to hurt my feelings.

Thats a real help. I'm sure Pawel will use it, & Craitman.
I'm going to have a go myself now.

I think I'd even do it if nobody else wants to! I'm not dissing the work that's put into it but I find the claims map to be ambiguous where each nation actually is because some of the colour coding is very similar. It would be nice to have the Special Map as the Official one, it looks so much more professional and it looks like a great job was being done on it.
