It doesn't work on some servers as Spangle has repeatedly said, we'll be sticking to phpBB if it doesn't make Your All Importance too unhappy.
yeah whatever benkern, i get enough flack to not be worried about these tosspots
It's "flak", and of course that's no thanks to me, right? ;)

I believe it is utterly unfair that we have been reprimanded for what happened. The only reason I lost it was because of this Guido and his snide remarks (i.e. the quote above). I do not understand why Zambelis was not also reprimanded in some way under rule number 7. I do apologise to the administration here for my rude behaviour earlier, but I hope that my denied claim may be uplifted. I see many small micronations on the MCS map that have less citizens than us, and all we're asking for is a small island situated at -50,60 on the map. When we made our initial claim were also comprised of only 7 citizens, but since then have obtained two more, which I believe could be regarded as a fast growing nation. I don't agree with some of the comments about our name, and particularly that it's "shite". You don't see Australia coercing New Zealand into changing their name do you!!

the hostility may have come from how you were founded, and the rudeness you displayed to staff- (and non-staff-) members...

What is the problem with how we were founded? The only person I was being rude to was the person who said that our nation's title was "shit".

It's not that hard to see where it came from nor why it came; it's pretty obviously to me, and perfectly acceptable. The main argument here is that you have taken an already existing micronation's name and added "New" to the begining. Not very original at all. If someone was to make a nation called "New Jamzinia" I'd be pretty mad too. Oh and you cannot possibly compare it to macronational nations; on earth these names were given hundreds/thousands of years ago, due to physical migration in the form of explorers, and were generally done to remember their 'home'. You, on the otherhand, have broken away from lovely, and have had the cheek to nick their name in the process.

I'm pretty sure not all these micronations had their names deriving from these explorers. Stop glorifying the whole thing.

There's not really anything wrong with naming a nation "New Poohbahstan", you just look bad. Like right now.

That is, unless you steal a nation without permission of a consignee from the Apollo Foundation. Then I'll come down on you like a ton of bricks. For a start, I think it's already been decided that you'll be barred from the MCS, plus various members of the community would condemn you and probably ask you to change your name. But fortunately, Lovely is not part of that Foundation (as it's reserved for dead nations), so New Lovely is fair game.

EDIT: In regards to the Foundation, stealing a nation is not just in name, it includes culture (which comes in almost every form a micronation can be :P).

If you guys are making such a fuss about this, why not Parallel Lovely? Or do you, and am I simply not aware of it?
