I was going to point out that central and south America aren't part of the USA, as shown on that map.

I think that trying to map micronations to RL countries is a pretty impossible task, because to the different segments of our sector different micronations would feature differently. For instance, kingcairney might consider the CIS to be something akin to the USA, whereas to me it's more of an AU, or perhaps some bloc of Baltic states.

Also, what are the criteria for judging this? I mean, what Nate said about Natopia was based on that country's culture, but Lovely doesn't remind me all that much of China, for instance.

If we're talking land mass then Riponia would be something like Australia, with a few extra places scattered elsewhere (Nova England and Taesong being pretty self explanatory).

If we're talking foreign policy then I certainly wouldn't invite comparison between Riponia and the USA (I've read Noam Chomsky!

), and culturally we're very European, I guess.

Well culturally we're Australian. We're economically riding on the back of the Chinese Resources (read Lovely), we have a large chunk of land down at the bottom of the map that we don't even use all of (though Babs would hate me to call the rest of Spyr a desert) and we have a small but significant influence on world politics ... in places ... The only difference is that our closest international friend, Tokidoki, is not ruled by a complete idiot ... though they did help us invade Lovely ....
Oh yes, and the Battle of Ambassador was our Gallipoli.
