Official Complaint from the MRWS

Post by Graius »

With regards to the article published recently on the MCS newsfeed the MRWS hereby requests an official retraction by the author of the article in light of numerous false statements and allegations contained within the article, not least the claim that no organisation at present exists for the adjudication of recwars on Micras. The MRWS is a neutral organisation and arbitrates disputes between nations on whatever map they so choose, be it GSO, MCS, MMES or any other mapmaking organisation. This has been expressed in numerous statements both public and private to the author of the article, and request that the statements be retracted as soon as is humanly possible.

Pete's addition at the bottom is not satisfactory. It is not POV that we judge Micras-based wars, it is undisputed fact.

This isn't a point of view, this is Pete's response to your protest, perhaps it would have been better to say something along the lines of 'The MRWS has' done adjudication on Micras rather than 'are willing to' however you must understand that the MCS chooses who can and cannot adjudicate recwars on it's map, not you.

Since the MCS's move from Micronations.net hosting and after the creation of the GSO it's obvious that the MRWS' position regarding Micras is being discussed by the Administration.

I understand your protest, but then again I trust that you don't have a naive understanding of the current situation, the MCS wishes to be more independent and you know that is our right to do so.

The MRWS may once have adjudicated recwars on Micras, but it no longer does so anymore, this is exactly why Vehendi created the MRL, therefore, there is no problem with the article in question.

Kindest Regards,

 @sep.

Your last post. This is what I was saying to Graius on MSN. I agree that the creation of GSO throws the MRWS into a sticky situation on Micras.

Unfortunately, things are getting pretty tense on the GSO forums, I have had my fair share of such situations, but the above post is a concise and polite reply to the original protest, I hope Ben will understand and respect our situation so that we can progress from this issue and the MCS can be respected in it's wishes for independence.

Regardless of your equivocating the MRWS at the time of publication was allowed to judge Micras-based conflicts and thus the article is libellous.

All Vehendi had to do was retract the article. Newspapers do it all the time.
