Shireroth would like to voice it's agreement with both the actions taken by the MCS establishment as well as the reasons behind them; indeed, discussions are being made within Shireroth to reduce our bounds a bit further. (you won't find those discussions in the fora, as they're being done via ims.)

However, we agree with the lands that were removed, and would like to note that on several occasions the MCS has stated that "it's not the particular lands removed, it's the quantity." Shireroth would then like to remind all parties involved that they should not vote based upon the lands that were removed: they should vote on the removal itself.

The difference between the two? If one were to vote on which lands were removed (ie: "But I liked that island chain!"), instead of the process involved (ie: "But now we're too small!"), you're voting on the wrong thing.

In any case: Shireroth would like to voice it's support for the Atkins map. The MCS is right: we were running out of land, and now we're not. Problem solved. A great many nations were far too large, and this reduction brings many members down to a more reasonable size.

As stated prior, Shireroth is still debating further reductions, so no glib remarks about "Oh, you're just saying that because you're so fucking huge."

In true Landsraadic fashion:

By the good graces of the Lord of the Golden Mango Throne, Kaiser Alejian II; the Landsraad; the Imperial Judex; and with the assent and support of the citizens of the Duchy of Antica, the Duchy of Elwynn, the Duchy of Kildare, the Duchy of Naudia'Diva, the Duchy of Northhold, the Barony of Vorpmadal, and the Shirelands: the Imperial Republic of Shireroth votes AYE (1).

Note who haven't voted are supposed to still do so.

Although I have personal reservations on the issue, the Antican people are overwhelmingly in favor of voting in favor of the Atkins plan, and I therefore cast Antica's vote as "Aye".

Matbaa vote

Post by Monoviagov »

I doubt you will get a vote from Matbaa until this Friday since their leader is on holiday for a week, but since I happen to have a close relationship with him I know from previous talks with him that he is voting for Atkins
