"I've been in micronationalism for this long" is almost a surefire indicator of a n00b. I haven't been here too long, but fortunately I avoided the n00b gene earlier and was sucessful in a few areas (not to say I didn't make really stupid mistakes... MMES anyone? :)).

When you click quote above a message, it copies it and who said it into your post. However, you can also just copy/paste stuff, hilight it then click the Quote button above. Then, where it says [quote] instead make it [quote="Whoever"] and remember to add the [/quote].
For your signature (if that's what you meant - another bad speller over here, guys), just do the same, but do it in profile and type out [quote][/quote] manually.

The MMES was an old mapping organization (and competitor to the MCS) by (I think) James of Jamzinia. By all accounts it wasn't very good and fell apart pretty quickly.
