I speak Australian.

A few good words:

Bogan (Hillbilly)
Bluey (A Red Head)
Esky (A beer container)
Footie (Rugby or AFL)
Wog ball (Football/Soccer)
Grog (Beer or Wine)
Bloke (Guy)
Sheila (Girl)
Barbie (BBQ)

And no, we don’t throw shrimp on the Barbie.

Well, you only hear Cobblers when you're talking about the diggers.

And I forgot about Strewth.

Firstly, it is 'cobber', not 'cobbler'. A cobbler is a person who repairs shoes.

Secondly, it's spelt 'footy', and thirdly, a bogan is really nothing like a hillbilly

Yes, there was a "Indo-European" language, which was a "base" for all European Languages (except Hungarian, Finnish/Suomi/ , Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian) - I'm Polish, and the word "rynek" (means something like market) evolved from German "Ring" - but lots of Polish people think that it's a "polish word" =)

Well usually you can't describe something by using an example of something that is not similar ;).

Lachlan is a very popular name in Australia (It's 2ndish on the New South Wales list)

And @ Evil Lachlan - It's the closest thing I could think of.
