Indeed, and when you click on the empty space a little to the left of Craiteland, you go there right away. This would be another example of me being bad with numbers. I'll fix it tomorrowish.

How could you claim in secret? Wouldn't people eventually notice your territory had gotten bigger anyway?

Stuff

First of all, I'm pleased to announce I've found Map 1.0.0 on an old CD of Erik's, which predates the current first map we have in the Archives, 1.4.0, by a couple of months. The same CD also has 2.5.5 and 3.0.0, although this last one's saved as a PDF and I can't for the life of me convert it to so...

spangle and pete aren't cartographers
You're the big-wig high-powered jet-setting policy-making masterminds! You're in charge of deciding what maps get updated by whom! You say "Make it so!" and pull the little strings to make the cartographers dance!

I support this. It's too hard to taunt the GSO for plotting behind their members' backs when we have a similarly locked forum. I understand that in the interests of fairness some council members might want to keep their votes private, and I think they're right to want to do so, but it just creates t...

Yeah, I think it's a pretty good question. The current two map system IS pretty awkward. I'd really like to see the old map ditched in favor of shiny happy newness. I showed Pete and Spangle how to easily update the special map in Paint but I haven't heard back from them, probably because they don't...

I'm nice? Awww, thank you :? And Amokolia, I didn't mean any offense. Some of my closest friends are people on drugs. But there are procedures for this kind of thing. The Kaiser and the Landsraad, for example. If you want to do secret crazy behind the Kaiser and the Landsraad's back you've got to be...

Shireroth doesn't come here? I can see I've made a big impression on all of you :( As for the culture level of our cities, something I threw together last weekend seems to be this month's featured article in MicroWiki: http://mnn.mncentre.net/wiki/index.php?title=Shirekeep If you have any lingering ...

The MMES was an old mapping organization (and competitor to the MCS) by (I think) James of Jamzinia. By all accounts it wasn't very good and fell apart pretty quickly.

There's an article on it here:

Aw. That's discrimination against those of us in odd time zones!

Maybe Iain will let me in if I promise I already distrust them enough that a few more posts won't make much of a difference.

The last time anyone bothered to locate the MCS offices in a physical place, which was five years ago, they were in Delvenus City, Delvenus. Nowadays I believe that'd be Willow, New Britannia. I don't know if they're sitll there, but I never heard about anyone moving them. PS: Andreas, I meant to me...

Yay! Someone's updating the special map! Gods bless you! The font I used was mostly Palatino Linotype, IIRC. It's pretty common on most versions of Windows and if you don't have it I'll bet it's available for download. The best tool for borders is the fractal line tool in Fractal Mapper (http://www....

Micronations? A big piece of the Internet? Wikipedia, which is on there as a smallish islet, has four million people. BoingBoing's so small as to be almost invisble and they get two million visitors a month. All the MCS countries plus all the GSO countries combined, discounting Lovely's inflated fig...

Perhaps Micras is off to the east somewhere. Although we're probably too small to even be visible on that scale.

Resignation

First of all, new physical map! http://www.raikoth.net/physispec.gif . Ooh, shiny. On a less happy note, I'm going to have to resign. I have a new job that's eating up a *lot* of my time, there turned out to be more issues than I was willing to deal with, and, moreso, I just amn't dedicated enough a...

I vote YES. I think a website but no forum shows more effort and interest than the other way around, and we've got a lot of forum-only countries on here. Attera didn't have a forum for its first few years and it did just fine.
