Cräiteland v Passas Preview - Coverage by JTV
It's now the semi-finals! Cräiteland have for the first time set foot on Novatainian soil after playing all their previous games in Tokidoki. Both teams want the world cup so badly but Passas has the better record. All tournaments Passas have entered, they've got to the final, both international and club level (URFC - EMUFA CL, Real Regulators - EMUFA Cup, Passas - U21 Champ.). However all those times Passas have got through, they haven't won a single time.
Road to Semi's
Cräiteland started off terribly losing to Taesong 3-2 but then coming back to defeat Jamzinia. Then a last minute goal saved them to go through v Tokidoki to put them second. However Passas was a different story, completely thrashing their first two opponents, Novatainia and Matbaa, each by 3 goals. That put them through top despite a 4-2 loss in the final game v Gaia in the groups.
Into the quarter-finals, Passas had a horrid time v Leon & Venezia, after being 2-0 down, Lukasz Dabrowski took the stuffing out of their opponents by drawing 1 back after smashing a belter into the back of the net. But they went 2 down again after another goal from Leon & Venezia. Daniel Taleva was giving Passas a run-out however goals from skipper Verkslamp, Stewart drew level and in the last 10 minutes, Custis scored the match-winning goal.
Cräiteland had a torrid time as well, after going 1-0 up it was looking good, then being caught out of possession they went into the break 1-1 after a lovely low cross into the area finished by La Mamon. After the break Cräiteland were thinking "how did that get in?" after the ball was cleared only to JP D'Oliviera who put it past the keeper. Nevertheless they went back to 2-2 and a bizarre last minute mistake by Alexandre Von Heil to Jean-Pierre Belle gave Jon Anders Larsen the ball with an open goal who sent the ball with ease to the back of the net and hand Cräiteland the world cup lifeline.
Players to watch:
Cräiteland -
Freddie Gaärsen: A Young, Quick player who seemed to last more than 5 minutes compared to his previous World Cup experience, Passas have always lacked pace and the Cherry Trees striker could be a key to Cräiteland's success using his dribbling and his pace to beat any defender on the opposition's side.
Jon Anders Larsen: Obviously this guy can play either as a defender or a winger, but despite starting in defence he still can score, this has proved costly to other teams in the Riponia Premier League but his powerful free kicks if on target will be a problem. Maybe not the best marker, but a good tackler and a set-piece specialist. Passas better be careful not to concede anything in a dangerous position.
Passas -
Nick Verkslamp: The skipper of the team has converted some long-range shots into goals this world cup in his desired attacking midfield position. If he is given a whisker of space, he might do exactly the same. The Kingsland Mavericks midfielder has alot of experience and he has the ability to bring his team forward and is the main influence to the nation.
Lukasz Dabrowski: He might hail from Interland, but choosing Passas over his home nation proved to be a good decision as the Mavericks striker has proved to be too much for previous opposition. The limelight has really hit him since his belter v Leon & Venezia but will that affect his confidence? He is the youngest player in the Passasian squad but is a tricky player to play against. Cräiteland, you better mark this guy very tightly, or things will go wrong!
Expected Team Line-ups
Cräiteland (3-5-2): 1. Vorgensen; 12. Larsen, 6. Demhivo, 4. Dehbo; 7. Manta (c), 11. Perryman, 3. Senovichi, 5. Herä, 8. Demo; 10. Gaärsen, 9. Tereminus
Passas (4-1-2-1-2): 1. East; 4. Racckam, 2. Hurtado, 12. King, 3. Bonny, 6. Van Heart, 9. Custis, 16. Nirimorf, 8. Verkslamp (c), 10. Sherman, 20. Dabrowski

Tokidoki v Gaia Preview coverage by MicraSport
The late semi-final kick off at the Momouchi Stadium is predicted to be a full house, however by the looks of the weather forecast, it looks like it's going to be a rainy night. While both sets of teams preferring to play on dry pitches, we will see what will happen tonight.
Gaia started the world cup last year playing Tokidoki, however they started off poorly after Turk ronAjain kept their team level at 0-0. But on this encounter, there must be a winner, even if it means extra time and penalties if need be.
Road to Semi's
Gaia started off their campaign terribly as usual, losing 1-0 to Matbaa. However the comeback surged coming back to beat Novatainia 2-1 and Passas 4-2 just edging them through in second. There they met Riponia again and fought a very hard battle, first being 1-1 then an extra 30 minutes before the dreaded penalties; where they finished the Riponians off. Can they go for glory this time?
Tokidoki however as the co-hosts, started off brilliantly winning 2-0 v Jamzinia and a goal-thriller against Taesong lead them through after a 7-5 victory. However their final result of the groups was a last minute defeat against Cräiteland. Into the quarters, they were level until the 2nd half where Tokidoki were enjoying themselves after a 3-1 victory. They must feel it's their destiny. Playing every single game they have in their own nation and not needing to set foot in Nova, with the final being in Rillanon, it must be their destiny to win.
Players to Watch
Gaia -
Guillermo Trescrara - Well top goalscorer in the Riponian Premier League and a all round striker, this guy can be deadly in front of goal and he can also bring other players into the attack. With the Gaian tactics he hasn't shown much of this so far but will the semi-finals show if he can do what he does best at Port Rackham?
Pasquale Di Montezemolo - A Very Long Name Indeed. However he is not a player to mess with. Only 19 and just signed for Cherry Trees FC, he is a major prospect, in fact already a asset to the team. Big and strong, he is a solid tackler with tremendous marking abilities. We rarely see him make any mistakes but he better be alert today as they might proceed to the final again!
Tokidoki -
Turk ronAjain - His past experience with Gaia might come to play tonight, but also with Trescrara playing for the same club as him, it might also help. His knowledge and experience will be an asset for the Tokidokian team and if he can put a performance like he did last year, Tokidoki might be able to proceed.
Erin Jowasaki - This guy has been absolutely on fire in this tournament, probably one of the most improved players from last year's tournament. This year he's got a starting slot and what a good decision from the coach, it looks like he's a big player. He is attracting alot of big clubs wanting to sign his name and if he has another strong performance here he might be on the move to a bigger team.
Expected Team Line-ups
Tokidoki (4-4-2): 1. ronAjain; 2. Neusin, 5. Jutirya, 6. Meisin, 3. Ranjana, 17. Zyxveldtsen, 8. Furben, 4. Firanjan, 7. I Trask, 12. Jowasaki, 10. Kenstein
Gaia (4-3-3): 1. Daniello; 2. Rosso (c), 12. Hertz, 18. Diamo, 13. Germaine, 8. Menzola, 14. Donetti, 20. Trescrara, 9. Peruzzi
