Cräiteland 2-1 Shireroth
Cräiteland came from a goal down to stop Shireroth's third 1-0 victory in a row. Strikes from Freddie Gaärsen and Manta Pellegrino cancelled-out Tommy Player's opener.
Player scored the first of the match around the half-hour mark when he headed in a Didinho corner after Cräiteland gave a display of how not to defend. Tor Svensson chipped the ball forward from midfield, looking for Carl Simpson. Yaqin Hjansen looked to have it covered, but he mistimed his jump and the ball flew over his attempted header to find Simpson who was one-on-one with Jack Vorgensen. The Aztecs 'keeper saved Simpson's weak shot, but could only parry it onto the back-tracking Yaqin Hjansen's shin. The ball ricocheted off the defender's leg, off the outside of Vorgensen's left-hand post and out for a corner. Didinho launched the resulting corner in, finding Player unmarked on the edge of the area. The striker had time to chest the ball down before curling it 'round Larsen, Yaqin Hjansen and Vorgensen, and into the opposite top corner.
Cräiteland waited until the second half to start their come-back. During the break, Jón F'achh came on for Toby Vorgensen and Zen Daviddlaw took Hanast's place for his first senior World Cup appearance.
Daviddlaw had an almost instant impact, running free of Didinho, but his shot was straight at Bjornsson. It didn't take too long for Cräiteland to score though, getting their seventh of the tournament with just over ten minutes of the half played. Manta was fouled out on his right wing by Shaun Illinois, who received a yellow for it. The Craitish captain volunteered to take it himself and swung it into the box as we've seen him do many times before for BäJ and Cräiteland. Freddie Gaärsen was there to meet it with a firm header. The Cherry Trees striker started his run from outside the penalty area, but used his pace to build-up momentum before leaping up to head the ball in off the crossbar, past the reach of Bjornsson.
Another Manta free-kick formed Cräiteland's eventual winner, except this time the ball went straight in from the winger's boot. Nuno Santos Gomez brought down Zen Daviddlaw 24 yards from goal, and Manta stepped-up again. This time he wasn't going to do anything else but shoot. As other players would try to break the net or place it so perfectly it goes into the only spot the 'keeper can't reach it, Manta chose a different version; he decided to change his run-up slightly and as it looked like he'd smash it towards the 'keeper's side, he lofted it over the Shirerithian wall and it just chipped in to the opposite side. Shireroth had made a fatal error by having a large wall and no player on the opposite post to the 'keeper.
Although Shireroth lost, they were already through to the quarter-finals, and this win secured Cräiteland's progression too, with these three points taking them to the top of the final table.

United Empire 1-3 Hurmu
Hurmu win comfortably, but it ends in vain as it isn't enough to stop them from crashing-out.
Kristján Vidarsson's brace and Aki Mäenpää put the game beyond doubt, even avoiding any tension when Jürgen Littbarski got a consolation goal late-on. The Hurmudans went into half-time two to the good as Vidarsson scored his two in quick succession near the end of the half.
His first came through a penalty, which was controversially awarded against Andrew Roman for a foul on Aki Mäenpää. Roman was clearly the last man, but only walked away with a yellow to his name to everyone's surprise. Vidarsson converted the penalty easily enough, sending the 'keeper the wrong way and rolling the ball in. His double came with a looped header after a Mäenpää shot was blocked spectacularly by Leon Anke, sending the ball high in the air. Schmitt decided to commit himself to getting the ball, but it fell right to Vidarsson, who placed his header high and over Schmitt to bounce into an empty net.
Mäenpää got his deserved goal after making a fantastic run between the United Empire defenders Breumer and Anke, and latching onto Vidarsson's through ball halfway through the second half. The Zidado West striker didn't even take a touch, but instead just side-footed the ball past Schmitt's outstretched leg with his right foot. The ball skidded along the turf and nestled gently in the inside side-netting.
Jürgen Littbarski managed to pull one back with the last kick of the game to save the UE from total embarrassment in the tournament. This was UE's first goal of the competition, and it came with their last touch of the football. Hurmu knew they had the game under-wraps, and eased-off on their marking. Littbarski managed to link-up with a Schmitt goal-kick as Paatelainen decided to not go for the high ball. The AFC Hamstadt forward took the ball to point-blank range before blasting it past a hopeless Loresen, who had had a quiet game before that.
A good performance for Hurmu, but it all happened a bit too late, and they joing the beaten UE in going home from Amokolia.

Kaválos 0-3 Bobalania
Bobalania walked-over Kaválos to assure their progression as group winners.
Although the first half ended 0-0, one goal each from Lee Bowie, Mark Norman and Sam Hyeland clinched the game for the Bobalanians. The first half was rather a bore-draw, with neither team showing any promise. The closest anyone went to scoring was Kwesi Themba trying some heroics from 30 yards, only to find Row Z.
After their half-time oranges, the Bobalanian team returned to playing in the form we saw from them in that first group game where they humiliated Hamland. Bowie opened the scoring with a goalmouth scramble tap-in after the Kaválosian defence failed to deal with a Liotta corner. Bowie was there at the back post to knock the ball in with his left boot. Mark Norman soon made it two on the hour mark with yet another tap-in after Sam Hyeland's shot was parried across a gaping net by Viscariello. Hyeland was released down the left channel, and movedin to shoot at goal. He aimed for the far post, making Viscariello stretch and palm the ball right onto Norman's right foot infront of an empty goal. He doesn't miss those!
Hyeland it was who completed the route with a brilliant finish after a sublime one-two with Norman. Hyeland was sent on his way down the left again by Bowie and slowed down to allow play to develop in the centre of the pitch. Norman was the first to arrive offering Hyeland a passing option, which he swiftly took; passing and following. Norman took the slightest of touches to lay the ball off into the path of Hyeland, whilst taking his marker with him. Hyeland had a clear run-up onto the ball, and he hit it hard, firm and low past Viscariello, who could only fling a leg at it, but to no avail.

Nova England 0-1 Hamland
Hamland caused probably the upset of the group, beating a Nova England team expectant of big things this tournament.
Starting off the day at the bottom of the tightest group micronational football has seen on goal difference, nobody would have given the Hammish a chance against a Nova England team that have always been the "nearly boys" of World Cups and EMU Championships, especially after their 4-1 drubbing by Bobalania when this group kicked-off. The important thing was a bit of Hammish hope, and some excellent defence packing.
Hamland had a clear game plan. They started out all-on attack with George Johnson and Ben Craig being supplied by Ron Brown and Marvin Locksley. Craig scored what would be the only, deciding, goal of the game after only eight minutes. Locksley won a corner against John Cesear, and delivered it himself. Nova English captain Marcus Downs got a strong header at the front post, clearing the danger, but Ray Kartiksti held-up the ball as the Nova English cleared-out of their box. Kartiksti then played a good long ball forward, wrong-footing the Nova English players coming towards him, but finding Ben Craig well. Craig went through to the box and touched the ball past Larkin with the outside of his right boot whilst feinting to go left, followed by running off into a knee-slide celebration in one slick movement.
Not too soon after the restart, Craig's striking partner George Johnson limped-off, with Jonathan O'Hara replacing him. O'Hara went into his usual centre-back position alongside O'Malley and Summers, blocking the Nova English from getting anywhere near MacLeod's goal. For the remaining 81 minutes, Nova England attacked and attacked, but the five-man defence, backed-up with Enoch Martin in defensive midfield, for Hamland stood firm. Nova England brought on Alex Kiker to help Ka'an Peterson and Callum Sorrel, but the three recognisable strikers couldn't do anything to prevent their nation from flopping-out at the group stage. The Hammish celebrated as if they'd won the entire tournament upon hearing the final whistle.

NSV v Passas
The first all EMUFA Quarter Final of the tournament kicks off tonight with New South Vietnam playing Passas at Champ Danish in what looks set to be a close fought battle.
Not very far from each other, Passas and New South Vietnam didn't face each other in the qualifiers and will relish a chance of proceeding a chance in the semi-finals.
Passas fell in the final hurdle after crashing out of the Semi finals in 2007, however the uneven form running into this match might prove to be costly on the day however the experience at this stage leans to their sied.
Many Passaseans expect the result to go their way, hoping to progress to at least the same stage as last year, if not the final. Lukasz Dabrowski seems to be a man on fire as his goalscoring rate is proving to be a key to Passas' tournament, while the influence of Nick Verkslamp is also a key factor. One man that hasn't be hugely spoke about is Eddie van Heart, who will be hoping to keep a solid position backing up the attacking Verkslamp, however a poor start to the tournament leaves van Heart a question mark to the starting lineup.
New South Vietnam are looking at a record performance, their previous achievement was finishing 2nd from bottom in the groups. However a changed side, NSV's new all look with the Craitish buzz seems to be the key to their success. They will most dependant on Luu Cong Minh, who has been on fire in this tournament, scoring in every match.
Teams
NSV: Duong VM, Le SD, Truong SM, Nguyen-Tran T, Phan HT, Nguyen QG, R Tran, Dang MT, Ho AH, Luu CM, Lam SV
Passas: M East, H Racckam, O Hurtado, I King, S Bonny, E van Heart, J Custis, J Nirimorf, N Verkslamp (capt), P Shermann, L Dabrowski
