A national football centre (NFC), sometimes referred to as a "soccer institute" is the term given to facilities that host an education base for a Football Association.

The Craitland Football Association has the acclaimed Centre of National Excellence, Cherry Trees, commonly known as CÓNECT and centres throughout Craitland under the CÓNECT banner, with an additional academy in Hamstadt, in Zandarijn, run in association with the KZVB.

The Victorian Football Association in conjunction with the Royal Football Association are currently spearheading the development of a new GTh30 million centre in the heart of the Birchwood Forest in Dundas. The Birchwood National Institute of Sports Science commonly referred to as Birchwood is due to open in 2014.
