The Leichenberg national football team was the football team which most recently represented the Minarborian constituent nation of Leichenberg, and previously represented the Sangunese-South Cibolan and Sangunese-Leichenberger constituent nations of the same name. It was a member of the CTFA and was the official successor and predecessor of Treisenberg.

History

The team was founded in 2013 after the foundation of Leichenberg as the successor state to the Cibolan Confederation, which itself was the successor to the Sangunese-Treisenberger constituent nation of Treisenberg. The Cibolan Confederation's team was initially intended to be the official successor team to Treisenberg but the nation was dissolved prior to the completion of the 2013 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, with Leichenberg being its successor. Later in the year, still prior to the completion of qualifying, Leichenberg joined with Greater Sangun to form Sangun-Leichenberg. Under the name of Treisenberg, the team finished second in their six-team 2013 qualifying group, advancing to CiboTap 2013, where they finished fourth after losing their semi-final.

In their first qualifiers as Leichenberg, the team finished third in their four-team group with eight points, behind Greater Sangun by virtue of goals scored, and missed-out on a place in the play-off. Later in the year, Sangun-Leichenberg was succeeded by Sangun and South Cibola.

In 2015's qualifiers, the team finished fourth in their five-team group with ten points.

During the 2016 qualifiers, Sangun and South Cibola was annexed by Minarboria, with Leichenberg retaining its separate FMF membership. In the qualifying rounds themselves, the team finished third in their five-team group with 16 points, below Greater Sangun in the play-off spot on goal difference.

Leichenberg finished second in their five-team 2017 FMF World Cup qualification group with 16 points. Later in the year, Leichenberg left Micras after being succeeded by Treisenberg.
