Apollo States

The Apollo States refers to the collective numerous micronations that came and went at an astonishingly fast pace during the earliest days of the Apollo Sector, circa 1999-2001 (before that name had come to be commonly applied). These small micronations tended to gravitate around the Audentior, its successor states, and those who were associated with the AIN. Prior to the advent of the Micronational Cartography Society, or the Micronations.net forum, which both became community hubs, most interaction occurred at the AIN which served as a de facto hub for many micronationalists. Many micronations of that time were one-man projects or were breakaway states formed out of the dissolution of other micronations. One of the earliest attempts at formed a sector merger became known as the Union of Apollo States, but ultimately failed to achieve unity.
