Honestly, I've forgotten about this and had no idea how i even picked the team in the first place. How do I update our team for the next CiboTab?Craitman wrote:It may be, although this squad did qualify Natopia for the first time ever (2006 was submitted entries ). Re: 2010 FMF World Cup Official Thread
Just PM me with a new/updated list of players. We had to use the old ones from 06 in previous years, so it would be nice having an update. Some of the playrs are still okay to be kept, but the defensive area might need some chopping and changing. The Butter Bull wrote:Honestly, I've forgotten about this and had no idea how i even picked the team in the first place. I guess I don't understand how making up new player names will affect game play?

Toketi v Monovia Preview
This may not be the result that they wanted, but both Toketi and Monovia will battle it out for a consolation 3rd place at the Morfaga Heroes Memorial Stadium. Judging by the semi-final results, it seems that both teams will be coming off huge disappointments of not making the final; however both teams should be pleased that they have progressed this far in the tournament.
Toketi started off with a 2-1 victory at Holback Street on the opening day of the tournament after coming back from 1-0 down against Passas, before losing to hosts Hamland 3-1 in their second game, partially due to a Benjamin Craig quick double fire early on. However, the Toketians were fortunate enough to be in a position where all teams were tied on 3 points and into the final game, despite an early scare the team managed to sail through with another comeback thanks to a scorcher by Tom Kenstein. The result meant that Toketi finished top of their group, and would face 2nd place of Group B Stormark in the next round. Instead of having to comeback from behind to win the match, the Toketi side took the authority in the quarter-finals, leading 3-0 into the first half. Despite Aki Mäenpää trying to level the game out in the second half, they managed to hold on for a 3-1 victory, setting them up with a rematch with fellow 2007 finalists Craitland in the semi-finals. However the same result happened in that encounter as in the final 3 years ago - with Craitland winning. Although it wasn't for the first time in the tournament, the Toketi side were caught out in defence; however against a less forgiving Craitish side, the result was one sided and humiliation as Craitland thrashed their opposition 4-0.
Monovia on the other hand went all the way to the semi-finals to mark their most successful world cup campaign. The Monovians previously qualified but never made it out of the groups. Striker Armand Diarra has been a key player for them throughout the tournament. After coming back from 1-0 to beat the 2006 World Champions Beaugium 2-1, the Monovians went on to a string of superb victories. Wins against Valencia and Holzborg ensured the the men in black progressed through the groups with a 100% record. Their run continued when facing fellow CTFA members Natopia in a 3-1 win in a match they truly dominated. However when facing Hamland in the semi-final, the 100% record was crushed as late form from Hamland surpassed the early Monovian form. Despite not having any goalscoring problems in previous matches, Monovia failed to hit the back of the net, and with Hamland playing much deeper in defence than other teams, the pace and physical presences of Armand Diarra and Lucas Zaya were close to ineffectual. Going against a tough team and thousands of home fans cheering on the host nation, Hamland managed to beat Monovia 3-0.
Both teams look to play the same teams as they did despite their defeats in the semi-final. Turk ronAjain retains captaincy for what will be his final game for the Toketian team, whilst they look to the Trask brothers and wondergoal scorer Tom Kenstein to deliver the goods in attack. Monovia on the other hand will also be dependent on their forwards Armand Diarra and Lucas Zaya to deliver some goods, after they both were found to be ineffectual in their previous semi-final clash against Hamland. Michel Wojchiechowski will try to pull the strings in the midfield as he takes the armband once again after Grégory Maurel is chosen ahead of Charles Richardson in goal, meaning that the actual Monovian captain has not actually played a game at this world cup and has effectively been replaced as captain by Wojchiechowski.
Looking on paper, it seems like a one sided result. Toketi look the far stronger team on paper, however the Monovian passion cannot be underestimated. We have to think about the two things that will make this game here. 1: Can Toketi prove that they are all worth their money and duly deliver with the quality they have in their squad, and 2: Do Monovia have anything left in terms of form following their 3-0 defeat against Hamland? It will all be revealed in Morfaga tonight as the 55,321 inside the Morfaga Heroes Memorial Stadium and the rest of Micras awaits!
Predicted Lineups:
Toketi (4-4-2): 1 T ronAjain (GK) (capt), 2 P Neusin, 6 R Miesin, 5 N Jufirya, 16 T Elrod, 17 J Zyxveldtsen, 4 Y Faranjan, 8 N Furben, 7 I Trask, 9 A Trask, 10 T Kenstein.
Monovia (4-4-1-1): 18 G Maurel (GK), 22 Z Emans, 6 D Große, 14 P Nikolic, 3 L Ducourtioux, 11 J B Alain, 13 P Zabavnik, 4 M Wojchiechowski (capt), 7 A Lalic, 21 L Zaya, 9 A Diarra.

Hamland v Craitland - FINAL PREVIEW
The Avidion Stadium has set its stage for the final as the hosts Hamland face a tricky task against double champions Craitland. Did you know? In all previous world cup finals, the country which is first alphabetically has won the tournament. And also did you know that the Craitish team have never lost a match when appearing in the final? These two facts are firmly stacked against an ambitious Hammish side, who will wanting to repeat Alexandria's success of winning the world cup on their home turf.
Hamland had a rocky start to the world cup, after losing 2-0 to Tellia in the opening match. However a comeback against Toketi 3-1 and a 1-1 draw against Passas meant that their progression was secured. Facing a tough Batavian side in the quarter-finals, Hamland held on to a 5-3 victory despite a last gasp brace against the Oranje team. Hamland then had the odds firmly stacked against them despite the home advantage due to the setting themselves in a semi-final clash 100% winning Monovian team. Despite the recent run of form, the Hammish passion from the fans and the spirit of the team allowed the Hammish to progress in style, with a 3-0 victory and ending the Monovian 100% record. Their new 3-5-2 formation is a mimic of Craitland's tactics; however the results are finally delivering and Hamland's fans will be noticing a change in more attractive, attacking football.
Craitland on the other hand look set to clinch their 3rd world cup title, after losing their crown last year against a very disciplined Alexandrian side. They started in Group C against Natopia and despite an early scare, the Craites managed to pick themselves back up to win the match 3-1. With three points in the bag, the double champions moved on to face Novatainia at the Avidion Stadium, where they were left frustrated, failing to make any build-up play due to the organisation of the Novatainian defence, resulting in a 0-0 draw. Nevertheless, the Craitish clinched progression to the knockouts in their final game against Nova England with a convincing 2-1 win, knocking out the last year's finalists in the process. After a comfortable 2-0 win against Valencia, the Craites set themselves a semi-final clash against Toketi - a rematch of the 2007 final. However the same result happened in a Craitish win, thrashing their opposition 4-0 in the process and thereby progressing to the final.
These two sides previously met in a friendly prior to the tournament, with Craitland winning 6-4. The result hardly means anything as this is now a world cup final, the circumstances are different and the pressure is much more intense with the expectations of a nation resting on their shoulders. It should also be noted that the last time Hamland played at the Avidion Stadium, they lost 2-1. Then again, that was against Tellia on the opening day of the tournament but the Hammish team will not want to be reminded of the results.
As expected, both teams will be looking to play their previous squads that have got them through to the final from the semi-final clashes. Undoubtedly, Hamland will be looking to goalkeeper and captain Rodney MacLeod to deny Freddie Gaärsen or Hanast Pellegrino any chance of scoring, as both teams possess attacking threats. For Hamland, Andrew Miller and Benjamin Craig will be the force up front, with attacking midfielder Jules Scott able to enter the fray by charging forward, which could prove a tricky task for Craitland. Craitland are still without Paulio Demhivo, who was injured during the Valencia quarter-final game, so Lydveldt Hjansen will once again start in defence. With both teams playing 3-5-2, we are expecting a game of the two cancelling each other out, and with both wanting dominance down the flanks it will be up to wingers Markko Edmildón and skipper Manta Pellegrino for Craitland to put a fight against the stadium backed Hammish wingers of Billy McVeigh and Kilbay's Ronald Brown. It should be noted that out of the Craitish starting 11, 9 of them played in the 2008 World Cup final in which they defeated Passas, so experience is on their side. It should also be noted that Avidion Stadium is also home to New Kirrie Thistle, so 3 of these players will be playing in their home stadium. This isn't an obvious one though, after all, Avidion Stadium is in New Kirrie, the capital and largest city of Hamland.
With the final hotting up and closing in, it's hard to predict a winner but all we can say that, we are in for a cracking final encounter!
Predicted Lineups:

Craitland (3-5-2): 1 J Vorgensen (GK), 2 J A Larsen, 4 L Hjansen, 3 J Hjansen, 7 Manta P (capt), 13 Y Senovichi, 8 T Vorgensen, 5 H Herä, 11 M Edmildón, 10 F Gaärsen, 16 Hanast P.
