I dunno, our defence has been pretty solid since the opening gameMatthewDavis wrote:I can see a high scoring game, with the way these offenses have gone.
EDIT: Just watched the final. Result really doesn't reflect the game, it was a hell of a lot closer than that...

Yeah, we don't really have big-scoring matches

*Jess enters, makes closing speech*
As commissioner of the Amokolian Football League, as founder of Amokolia, and as a dear friend of everyone in the audience, I warmly thank the FMF for letting The Royal Amokolian Republic, now the Kingdom of Amokolia, host this wonderful World Cup, and a historic one too. We have seen many mighty teams fall, and many small teams rise, and for the first time in Micronational History, a team has won the FMF World Cup two years in succession, Cratëland has overcome the near impossible to do this. And our own home team, Amokolia (everyone yells) made it into the Quarter-Finals, which was a lot more than what I had expected. We would also like to congratulate all teams that made it here, even that is an accomplishment in itself! Amokolia has had a re-birth with these competitions, we used to be a small under developed country, which was only a few little pixels here and there, now we are conquering Benacia. Our Football League has become excellent because of this. We have more teams than ever, even one from the largest country has decided to join our league instead. And, as promised, I will give out the following awards:
Champions: Craitland
*Hands trophy to Craitman*
You guys can have another one, just remember that this one comes from the one and only Amokolia!
Second Place: Passas
*Hands Trophy to Matt*
Just think, you could have been a lot lot worse!
Third Place: Bobalania
*Hands Trophy to Bobby*
I know we haven't ever spoken with one another, but remember, I think Bobalania is pretty neat myself.
Biggest Fuck Up: Ole Kraft
*Hands Ole a picture of a retard*
You deserve it, Flicke. But we all appreciate you and look forward to seeing you play for MY Lengish-Danish Freeze next season!
Most Dissapointing Team: Amokolia
*Gives Himself a slap*
You guys had home field advantage...XD
Lets also all give the AFL Champions, the New London Islanders a round of applause, for winning the Automatican Cup this spring. And so, finally, as bretheren and friends of all of Micras, I personally than you all for comming to the World Cup, and later in life, I want everyone to think of this night, the energy that was here, in Amokolia, the centre of attention of all of Micras for two months, Thank you, and God Bless you all! I look forward to being in Alexandria for next years world cup!
*Hands Microphone to Hieu for presidential speech*

Do you want me to edit that n00bery, or just delete it?
*Cräiteland
The trophy's given to the country captain at the end of the match, and it's the same trophy each time, not just a special one from the host nation.
Runners-up and third placers only get medals.
Amokolia weren't disappointing in the slightest
And if anyone would give a presidential speech it would be the FMF President... Me

Re: 2008 FMF World Cup Amokolia - Official Thread
I just think Passas tired a bit towards the end, probably because of their run-around against Alexandria, which meant we made the most of our chances...
