 Question
I’ve been trying to do something with the micras globe for a Mnews header
http://www.micras.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=827
So I want to ask how pictures like that one ^ were made, my goal is to have a header sort of like the BBC one but with a micras globe instead.
Would I be able to do something like this without making it look like a messed up pixelated paint job ?

It's apparently easy once you know how to use it
It might be possible to do with blender, I'm not really a blender expert

No. If you do track him down, ask him for any CIS resources he may have!

I tried blender once but was unable to do anything great with it, you need to know how to use it quite well to do something good. Blender's open source so you can get it here.

Seeing as the BBC News rebrand cost hundreds of thousands of pounds *insert rant about pointless BBC expenditure like making TV for mobiles and putting the news in Persian...* I doubt you'll be able to recreate it with Micras.

Why not?
It only cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, that means some graphic designer spent 20, 30 minutes tops in mspaint to make it
And we have weeks
